MOTIF | bistro & wine & beer — Restaurant in Prague

Very original place with delicious food. Prepare to pay a higher price, but it is definitely worth it, because the food is fresh, healthy, tasty and looks awesome! I just love the interior design, something I have never seen before: the metallic elements, grey and white decor and just in the middle there is this colourful long table, which makes it so inviting. I really like the custom made design of the metallic table legs matching the handle on the toilet doors and other nice details. The only problem here is the service - I have to admit I have never felt welcome here. They always seem to be in a hurry during lunch time and they cannot serve the whole capacity of the small bistro. Last time there were 8 of us and they even told us they are not prepared to have such a big group (despote having a huge table and lot of free places) and we have to choose just a limited amount of dishes. We did it, but it seemed really unprofessional for the high price. I would prefer to only choose from 3-5 lunch dishes and have it quickly and without remarks from the staff. I hope these operational problems will be solved and then it will become one of the best bistros...

I just tried this place for the first time and I loved it! The food was delicious and they also make it look amazing, it is enjoyable to the taste and to the sight!

The decoration of the place is colorful yet with a good taste, it is casual yet elegant.

The service was good, efficient and somewhat respectful, perhaps something to improve would be to include a friendlier treatment, a smile can make wonders!

Cost wise, it is certainly not cheap, but you will be happy to pay the price given the quality and quantity of what you are getting in return. I was well fed, it tasted delicious, and the quality of the meal was top and healthy!

The restaurant is on the middle of Karlín and Invalidovna, being Urxova the closest tram stop, 2 minutes...

The place itself looks very nice and clean, the service was super helpful and nice, so we were excited for the food and our expectations were pretty high. We had Salmon Onigirazu, which has insanely unfair pricing 255czk for two pieces, the portion was super small, the rice was hard, it tasted like leftovers from yesterday, sauce wasn’t complementary. Thai Soup, it was heavy and portion size was thought through poorly, the taste wasn’t getting better with every sip and unfortunately there was a hair found. Despite all of these, as I have already mentioned, service was kind, the waitress asked whether we enjoyed the food and listened to our comments. Wouldn’t be coming back unless they improve...
