A very promising menu and a pretty restaurant with a lot of potential, but unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations at all. The bruschetta was great, and the prawns starter was average, but the mains were unsatisfactory and lacking flavour. I am honestly annoyed and frustrated that I paid for my meal when I didn't enjoy eating it. I had the seafood risotto, which was bland, sloppy, and simply the worst risotto I've ever had. The menu stated it would include calamari, which by no surprise, it didn't. It contained nothing but 5 prawns, and flavourless rice. My boyfriend had the steak pasta, which was nothing but mediocre. It was advertised as having a tomato and white wine sauce, but there was barely any sauce, and only about 2 tiny cherry tomatoes. On reflection, the pizza looked nice, and I wish we had gone for that, so that should be definitely be considered for future customers to even consider this place. Lovely staff but awful pasta. I hope the...
Read moreThe waiting service is horrible, the staff are not friendly and did not make us feel welcome at all. We also waited about 50 minutes for 2 pizzas and a salad. I would put 0 stars but that would be unfair to the food quality and taste, which makes up for the bad service. Another positive point was the place itself. It may appear small from the outside but don't be fooled by that, it all happens in the basement, which is MASSIVE ! I also loved the exposed brick wall and how they decorated the space. Additionally, they have a little kids playing area, which is a plus if you're a parent and need to distract you kid at dinner time.
I would recommend you to go there if you were hanging out with friends and won't mind chatting for an hour whilst your food is getting ready (which also makes the waiters' attitude more bearable by the way). But not if you're a hungry tourist like me since, on top of the atrocious waiting time, you'll keep a bad image of Czech...
Read moreWe found this restaurant completely off chance, and I'm so glad we did!
There is a bar on the ground floor, but in the basement is the pizzeria with plenty of seating. The service is good, and they have an English menu.
On our first visit we were put in a room with a large drunk English stag party, who the staff were trying to rush out of the door as quick as they could! The mess they made was awful, and it took three waitresses to clean up after them. The staff handled the situation very well though.
We ordered pizza, which is huge, handmade and completely delicious! Even better washed down with a pint of Pilsner's beer.
On our second visit, the restaurant was thankfully quieter, and I ordered the Caesar Salad which was lovely and very filling - my friend had a lasagna which he said was nice, and also very filling.
Prices are cheap, and the staff are very welcoming. We will be returning later...
