This is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. We were here on a Gate 1 Travel package, and it appears that Gate 1 pays a very low rate for their contract, so in turn, we were provided with a very low-end room. Twin beds without a headboard, so you can't lay in bed reading with nothing to support your head. Only one chair for lounging, the other chair is the desk chair, not real comfortable. The toilet would not flush properly, and the water pressure was very, very low. Most of the staff seemed rather unfriendly, when I asked for a 2nd key for my wife, I was curtly told "no" however I could leave the only key at the front desk. I asked another desk agent to change a 500-Koruna note, and was told "that's not that big" (in other words he was hesitant to change it), however he finally gave me some change when I insisted. When walking in the door over our 3-day stay, never got a single "hello" from the FD employees when we walked past them. Housekeeper decided to have a mobile phone chat (on speaker) at 8:15am just outside our door and was extremely loud, waking us up. Lasted about 20 minutes. The breakfast room staff were very friendly - probably the least paid people, they were the ones who delivered real customer service. Breakfast was just OK - fatty bacon, only "baked eggs" and hard boiled eggs, fruit was pretty limited. Hotel location was good, but not worth the headaches we got from the staff and problems in the room. Spend a little more and get a better hotel when visiting Prague.

Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre yet still very easy to get to using the tram that is 5mins walk away. Staff are friendly and helpful, we wanted to send postcards and they had stamps to sell and even posted it for us. Breakfast buffet has a wide choice but mostly the same everyday. The watermelon was particularly sweet! Only negative is the noise from other guests who seem to like making as much as they can when they walking by with their luggage. Rooms are very clean and surprisingly much larger than we expected. No air con however the room stayed very cool so no need for one. Booked as part of a package holiday, however would consider again if booking by itself.

A really nice modern hotel with clean/ well looked after rooms that were spacious and well appointed considering the budget price. Breakfast was a buffet which has a good range of hot and cold choices with some western style, continental options like cereal or toast, alongside some more Czech offerings like stuffed pancake and spicy sausage. The reception staff were not the friendliest (came across as though they were bored/fed up when you spoke to them) but this could have just been a language/translation thing. Be aware that if you book airport transfers they will charge quite a premium, we were quoted almost 800kc one way and eventually booked our own for 430kc

We booked this hotel through a local travel agent who described the hotel as a 3 star but more like a 4 star.|We arrived at about 9m and was looking forward to a drink in the bar after a long day, we assumed, wrongly that a 3/4 star hotel would have a bar, wrong!|We went to our room on the 2nd floor, the room was very bland, so univiting with 1 small narrow window. There is no air conditioning |We ventured out to a small bar nearby for a couple of drinks to unwind.||We went to breakfast on our first morning, the room looked so clinical and tables far to close together, choice of food started off well but the variety on day 3 was poor, having run out of basics like bacon and mushrooms, being replaced with vegetables |About our room, where do you start, the towel rail was very dusty, the waste bin was cheap and nasty, toilet roll holder overlapped the toilet seat, terrible positioning |The hair dryer was in the bathroom, having had a shower which misted the mirror, despite the extractor fan being on, we had to pull the cable to the mirror to see what we were doing.|I would have expected a hairdryer in the room, with a dressing table near the window where we could sit in comfort||This hotel is described as small and stylish, small it is, stylish it is definitely not.|There isn’t a nice lounge area, the area is small and very drab, dark furniture and the extension to the breakfast room, again very clinically, with no ambiance or personal touches.|The two magazines in the sitting area were so old, one was dated 2011||I would not stay here again, but Prague is a beautiful city.|We were so unimpressed with our room, we didn’t bother to come back to freshen up, we stayed out all day|You expect noise in a city hotel but the sound of workmen/ bins being moved about at 7am, is not acceptable...
