Food was decent, but there were a few aspects that made me give the whole experience 1 star, being by far the worst experience in my Prague trip: A. Dirty walls with stains right near the table. B. The waitress has asked us if we want to order something else (we had finished the food but not our drinks, they were half full), and when we said no she has directly brought the check, clearly inviting us to leave. C. They pretend the 10% tips is mandatory (which is illegal, by the way), and when I asked why it was mandatory the waitress started yelling at us. After making it clear that I don't want to pay the tips, she called the other waiter, who was a bigger man, who aggressively took the empty glass from the table and looked at us saying something in the local language.
My advice is to clearly not enter this place, but if you already have and you are reading this review now, don't let yourself fooled on the tips issue. I finally left without paying it although they were...

"Tucked away in Prague's Old Town, Restaurace U Modrého Hroznu offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle. The restaurant's charm lies in its intimate setting – separate small rooms create a cozy atmosphere perfect for a relaxed meal.
We opted for a selection of Czech classics, and all of them were delicious. The goulash was rich and flavorful, the grilled chicken perfectly cooked, and the Czech plate provided a delightful sampler of traditional fare. The portions were generous, and everything felt like homemade goodness.
What truly impressed us was the family-run feel of the restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall warmth of the experience. The prices were very reasonable, making it an excellent value for money.
If you're looking for an authentic Czech dining experience in a charming and affordable setting, Restaurace U Modrého Hroznu is a hidden gem not...
Read moreWell...I don't really know what to think about this place. It is a small restaurant with quite a classy decoration, you are given several slices of bread with 3 kinds of butters as a starter (and surprise, you have to pay for it). It is something i usually see in high-end restaurant, i felt the same vibe from the waiters. Therefore, one would expect the food to be high-end...And it was not. The soup was good, although the flavors were quite strong, but the goulash was kinda...Bland, i would say. The rice was correct at best, the beef was not bad but I expected more from the so-called "best goulash of Prague". Overall, the food was average. Lastly, i didn't like the attitude of the waiter when a customer left without leaving a tip. Insults, or what looked like it, is not something you show in front of customers. Regarding the price, it is neither very cheap nor very expensive...But i am pretty sure there are better...
