Avoid this restaurant, it's an obvious tourist trap.
We went there because it was the first place in front of us that looked decent and we were cold, a big group of people.
The food was expensive for the small portions they serve and they quality of the food is just bad and disappointing, not that tasty either. I have to say the beer was excellent.
When we asked for the bill, the meals of course were written in Czech(which can be confusing for a tourist to understand what he is paying for). We were shocked when we noticed that they have added to our bill 4 different meals that we haven't ordered! The waiter was also being impatient, rushing us to pay, asking if we are ready to pay a few times(most likely to avoid noticing the extra things added to the bill).
I'm sure they have fooled other tourists this way, because usually a big group of people just divides the money and they pay the bill.
I have to mention that only a few people from our group ordered food that day.
The floor we were in was pretty small and it seemed really strange that the waiter that was serving us "couldn't understand" why the bill is wrong.
After a little chat with 2 waiters and some head scratching on their side to understand why the bill is wrong they finally agreed to remove those items.
Because this is Prague,...
Read moreYou can't treat people like that! . We sat Friday upstairs, 1st floor, we really really enjoyed our dinner and the service of those two lovely girls. Very tasty food, good portions, reasonable prices. . Returned on Saturday eve. That time was the manager/owner? who addressed us at the reception, drinks or food? Not even hi. I replied food... I started a sentence: maybe there is space on the second floor this time? He didn't let me finish my sentence, literally almost shouting: YES OR MAYBE?? I mean, let the opposite part speak first. Maybe even say hi? 🙃 You have a living because of us, the customers.. There wasn't space, so he said, but even if there was, NO, I like to be treated normal. . Wow, what an experience. . Update. I forgot to mention the excellent beers, wow. Maybe the best dark I've had in years. Back to my complaint; My company of that eve already revised the review. I won't, not just yet. Time will show. We visit Praha often, let's see how that tall guy with white hair will behave. It was unacceptable, believe me. I mean, I clearly asked if there was a table upstairs. Before he asked for drinks or food. That and only that it's a sign that I have been here before.... Hellooo. We stood outside for 10 minutes, watching the guy serving. My god, at our place he was fired on the spot....
Read moreWe were keen to try this place out when we saw it in our travels and after a long day of exploring Prague, we came back to this place. The experience was completely ruined by the atrocious and disgusting service by the waiter who clearly disliked us for the reason I’d rather refrain from mentioning just in case I am wrong. The smartass attitude of the waiter during the night eventually transformed into pure rudeness when one of us asked for another beer of the type that the waiter just brought to our table. The very irate response was: “Can you order at once look how many tables there are here”, followed by half glass of beer (the other half was foam) brought to our table. What’s wrong with ordering another beer that we tasted and liked? The number of tables in the restaurant is completely irrelevant (since I mention it there weren't that many at the time of ordering) and not our concern. We were a family of parents with adult children and were polite all along, even after that rude remark by the waiter in question. I understand that one can dislike certain nationalities for whatever reason, however if one is nice and polite to you it is expected to receive the same treatment in return. It is a shame because we actually...
