The most AWFUL SERVICE
The last dinner during our Czech trip came with not pleasant surprise. While being warned of bad service in Karlovy Vary, we faced one only in the heart of Prague.
We decided to have dinner at this little “local” restaurant because it looked cosier than the majority on the main streets. It is worth to mention that the restaurant was empty and the majority of time during the dinner we were alone. It was good for us as we wanted to sit in a “traditional” place and eat “local” food, that we ordered quite a lot for two persons.
While food was acceptable and we could give 3 stars of 5 with the emphasis on the tasty picked cucumber, service in this place can be described just as AWFUL. Let's start with some little things. 1) There were two waiters doing totally nothing than looking at us while eating. 2) While serving food one of them was coughing and making “funny” comments about virus. 3) With the receipt came a comment about service fee not included and no answer followed to our question what is a fee.
Last but not least as the cherry on the top of this experience was waiter pushing me away from his way to doors and claiming we have not paid bill fully in a very bad tone. The deal was about 50 czk for “the service”. Waiter was talking with us in a very mean way and refused to give back whole change after I gave him extra 200 czk.
In the result this place gets minimum points from us and a big huge stamp of NOT RECOMMENDED PLACE while...
Read moreMy wife and I ate here last night as it was our last night in Prague and we were looking for some traditional food in a traditional restaurant. So glad we did! We were welcomed with a smile by a female server and opted for the garlic soup and the caprese starters. The soup was rich and flavourful and the caprese was fresh and tasty. My wife had the pork schnitzel which was really tasty and full of flavour - I opted for the traditional sausage with potato and cabbage. The sausage was really tasty and I loved the cabbage which was really savoury . We also had bread with garlic butter which was a nice touch. All washed down with Prosecco and dark/light beer. Very reasonable priced and the servers were really helpful. We will definitely be back on...
Read moreSo we were there for a lunch, we decided to go for Czech cousine and the food itself was really nice and not much costful. However on the bill we were surprised by some additional positions like Couvert 50 Kc for 2 ppl about which we were not informed prior but just given some bread & butter before our order arrived. It was nice and tasty but still there was no information (or I couldn't find it) about extra cost anywhere. The staff was nice but on the payment they basically insisted on additional tip, suggesting service was not included. If you are looking for a good place to taste czech food this one is worth visiting but don't be surprised with extra...
