Every now and then you fall into a trap of positive ratings. For me this was one of them.
I entered the main part of the restaurant and then I was told politely to go to the other side as I wasn’t having a shisha. Checked the menu chose some stuff and then the waiter came after some wait. I asked him do you make nice lamb Maklouba? And he told oh we make the best, told him back great let me have one. I asked also sambosa and meat hummus.
I then recieved chicken kabsa, sambosa and meat hummus. I asked the waiter, what about the wrong order? He brought the paper and he told me that I ordered that, but I asked you earlier about the maklouba not kabsa where you told be how you were the specialists! and then he was apologetic and offered to replace it but given how long we waited for this dish that is usually ready made we turned that down.
I have always in mind questioned the logic of waiters listing what you have ordered before making the actual order. Thanks to the waiter that served us he reminded me why it is a must to avoid such situations.
As for the food we got served, the chicken in kabsa was well cooked but largely tasteless. The hummus was great, but the sambosa tasted only of fried potatoes not cheese or grinded meat as you would expect.
All in all it is not the worst of places but a very average in terms of food. It might offer good shisha but that is not of...
Read moreTried this place for dinner last night, encouraged by the many positive reviews, but unfortunately our experience did not quite live up to expectations.
Starting with the service, the waiter seemed unfamiliar with the menu. When we asked about the difference between two lamb dishes, as the descriptions were very similar, he was unable to provide any clarification. Instead, he repeatedly suggested we just choose one without offering helpful guidance.
There was also a lack of flexibility regarding the mix menu. We asked if we could swap one item and were willing to pay the price difference, but this was immediately declined. Interestingly, when a nearby table—who appeared to be regulars—requested changes, their requests were readily accommodated, which felt inconsistent.
As for the food, portions were generous. The Mansaf lamb was flavorful, though the ratio was heavily skewed—around 90% rice to 10% meat. The Habibi kebab was very spicy, which could have benefited from a note on the menu or a mention from the staff, especially for guests with lower spice tolerance.
All in all, while the food itself was good, the overall service experience fell short, and the pricing felt rather steep—likely reflective of the...
Read moreThe food was amazing! I spent 4 days in Prague and couldn't find a better place than this restaurant. I ordered many dishes, but the Mansaf with lamb was super tasty, and the Kebab mix was very delicious. The flavors were rich, and every bite was a delight. The hospitality of the workers was exceptional, especially Anas, who truly made the atmosphere much more comfortable and welcoming. The restaurant itself is wonderfully cozy, with warm lighting and a charming interior that makes you feel right at home. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal after a day of exploring the city. The ambiance complements the excellent food, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. One of the standout features of this restaurant is that it has two sections: one for smokers and one for non-smokers, ensuring that all guests can enjoy their meals in a comfortable environment. Not only was the food top-notch, but the prices were also reasonable, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Prague—it's a gem you don't...
