If I could give zero stars I would. I have never had a worse experience at a bar or any public organization. I was attending this bar in the beginning of the night for a promotion night. The promotion was 150 kc and you get one free drink. I got my wrist band and ordered my free drink at the bar. The bartender insisted that we have to pay. I asked her about the free drink promotion and she started yelling, insisting we pay now. I asked if I could just return the drinks (not having even gotten them yet) and she turned around and walked away. She returned with a 6'4" 260 lb bald bouncer. I asked to leave the bar. The man prevented me from leaving. I paid for the drinks (that I did not receive) and again asked to leave. The man did not move. I slid past him, trying to leave the bar. He slapped me in the back with enough force to push me to the ground. He then picked me up by the hair and started choking me. He slammed me against the wall. A male friend came to get him off of me. The bouncer then punched him in the face. While the bouncer started attacking him instead, I ran out of the bar. The experience was terrifying. I would never suggest this bar to my friends or foes. Please do not go here, for...
Read moreI visited on Saturday night so it was super busy, so I queued for maybe 10minutes at the bar.
The bartender was very clearly working hard probably overworked! But I suspect there was some performance enhancement being relied on here given the way the drinks were being served…
He got extremely aggressive with my friend when he complained about being served a pint of second hand beer. We watched as he topped up this pint for 10 minutes with leftover froth whilst he served other customers. The pint was disgusting and we couldn’t believe the cheek! If we had been drunk maybe we wouldn’t have noticed, instead of accepting he had been caught he told us “to leave and that there are plenty other bars in Prague”
I wouldn’t say avoid as it looked pretty lively and might have been fun. Obviously not everyone will share the same experience with this guy. Just be cautious you aren’t being ripped off, the beer which Prague is supposed to be famously cheap was £8 and if you’re paying that you at least expect it to be served in a clean glass fresh...
Read moreI do like this place as a club - visited both times I’ve been in Prague. Bartenders are nice however last night I experienced something very unfair with the cloakroom lady, where she made me and my friend wait for two hours until the end of the night at 6am to retrieve my friend’s coat because he had lost his ticket. The coats description was confirmed and it had my scarf in it.. I understand this situation can be tricky sometimes but she was so rude to me and had no reason to not cooperate as I was politely trying to retrieve it. I didn’t lose my temper, I remained calm and aware that it wouldn’t help the situation. We ended up falling asleep in view of her until we were woken up at closing to be given them back. I tried hard to communicate with her, aware that she didn’t seem to be having a good night but she wasn’t having any of it. Such ruthlessness!!! The security guy then escorted us out and waited around us like we were causing trouble??? I simply wanted to go home with our...
