I recently visited this cafe with high hopes of enjoying a relaxing evening snack and drink with my partner and son. However, my experience was far from pleasant due to the rude and unprofessional behaviour of the staff.

The issue we had was my son simply wanted to finish his ice-cream as we sat to order our food and drinks. Instead of the waitress politely addressing the situation as we sat, if there was indeed a problem, the staff decided to make a scene, and in ridiculous fashion flatly refused to serve us! It was not only embarrassing for my son who is only 6 years old but also completely unnecessary and uncalled for. Your staff should be ashamed of themselves... an utter disgrace.

I was totally shocked by the lack manners displayed by the staff, and was happy to address this with the manager, but thought it best we just leave as not to risk an argument ensuing. It is clear the staff here are in desperate need of training in customer service and how to handle situations with grace and professionalism. No customer, especially a child, should be made to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable in a customer led establishment.

I urge the management of this cafe to invest in training for their staff on how to interact with customers in a respectful and kind manner. It is essential for businesses to create a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for their patrons, and this can only be achieved through proper training and guidance.

Overall, my experience at this cafe was tainted by the rude behavior of the staff. I hope that they take my feedback into consideration and make the necessary changes to ensure that all customers, especially children, are treated with the respect and courtesy they deserve.

It goes without saying, that if dining with children, I'd suggest giving this establishment a wide birth.

I'd give zero as a rating if it...

I took my parents to this café, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. Inside, we were given menus, but when we stepped outside, another waitress took the menu out of my hand and told us there were no seats and that we had to wait. I asked if we could order take-out (I was only one day after surgery and didn’t feel like waiting long), and she said no, and refused to give us the menu back. After a while, we noticed that there were plenty of free tables, and people from the street were being seated and served without any problems. We decided to sit at one of the many empty tables inside, but again had to wait sometime before anyone brought us a menu. I even asked at the reception desk if we could order, but was told someone would come to the table. When we finally placed our order, my mom asked a waitress if there was a toilet. She said „upstairs” giving misleading directions because there was not any „upstairs” and toilet was in the basement behind the bar, it left us really confused. After our meal, my plate was taken away almost immediately, and a waiter came with the check, making it very clear he was not happy about not getting a tip and even asked about it. The desserts and coffee were really delicious, but the service—especially from a black-haired waitress who was often outside smoking—left us with the worst memory of our trip to Prague. To make matters worse, the prices also didn’t match what was listed on the menu or online. Such a shame, because I had been looking forward to visiting this place for months. Next Time i will definitely order online cause even waitress said its not an option restaurant is available on wolt.com

We visited here twice and had two very different experiences; the first night we ate in, ordering some pasta which was pretty tasty, good price with fast and friendly service.

The second night we returned for takeaway dessert; we picked out two items which were apple (we we're told it also included passionfruit, but that was not the case) and caramel. When we returned to our hotel we discovered they had mixed up our box at the payment counter and given us someone else's desserts (x2 of the covid inspired ones). We then returned them straight away, but got a bizarre response. The man that served us originally couldn't seem to remember we'd only been there just 30 mins before (even though the restaurant was basically empty). We then got handed over to a lady who clearly thought we had just 'changed our mind' as she kept smirking at her colleague. After finally getting the correct order, we were disappointed by tasteless, bland desserts. They were both basically just mousse with a small amount of apple/caramel in the middle. If you've got a sweet tooth, head to the Mad Rabbit Macaroon Bar just down the street, they...

Very popular and busy cafe in the centre of Prague..... The window displays of all the cakes draw you in as they look amazing! But...... ..... The inside is actually very cramped, and even in February it was way too hot in there - probably due to the huge amount of people squeezing into such a tight space. The tables are very close together (think 12 inches apart at the most, with only just enough room to squeeze in between - especially on the window seats where we were seated). No privacy for a conversation at all. It's dog friendly, which I think is great and more places should be the same - it just bothered me that dogs were allowed on the chairs, which were not wiped or cleaned down after they left - not the most hygienic. We went in with the intention of having lunch and a cake, but ended up leaving after lunch and having dessert elsewhere due to the heat, noise and crowdedness. The service was the slowest and the least attentive we experienced during our 4 days in Prague, but the lunch we had was actually very tasty and the presentation was good.
