I couldn't be happier with choosing Golden Angel for my 5 nights in Prague. There for work and a little bit of play, I enjoyed having the balcony doors open to get air and listen to the life happening on the street below while I worked from my laptop. The Golden Angel is right in Old Town. Surrounded by cafes, shops, restaurants and pubs all less than a minute away. There's really no need to transit anywhere unless you want to further site see and visit some notable places, like the Castle of Prague. Both the subway and tram are just 2 blocks away and cabs are plenty. The studio unit I stayed in at the Golden Angel was gorgeous! The space is modern, clean and inviting. With enough seating that I had 3 coworkers come hang out for a bit to check out the place. They were also impressed by the unit, and the private balcony looking out into Old Town is a nice touch. An actual kitchen too! It's a studio but the kitchen is off in it's own area. The bathroom has a huge walk in shower, double sink, and all fixtures are modern. I loved having a fridge, stove top and microwave. I appreciate being able to have groceries and not being forced to eat out all the time, so having a kitchen really appeals to me. This is not your average hotel. These are apartment style units. There's not a staffed lobby, nor on site restaurant, etc.. The electronic access control system is a high end solution and works well with phones and codes. One nice feature is the ATM in the lobby is Bank owned. Low exchange rate and only accessible by residents of Golden Angel. I like to try different places when I travel but I'm going to be hard pressed to not stay here again.

Location is at the heart of Old Town. Easy to get to the bridge, trains, food both restaurants and grocery store. Right across the street from Cerna Modena. (one of my favorite coffee shops in Prague) Room was great. Had pots and pans (though I didn't cook) so if you went to the grocery a few blocks away, you could just cook out of the apartment. Small fridge enough for leftovers and drinks. Table is barely big enough for 2 people tho. I had the suite where it had stairs to get to the bedroom. Service was great. Was a cleaning team of 4 ladies who cleaned the room up quickly. You have to download the Yourkey app. Even if you don't have wifi/data on your phone (international). They give you an access code prior to arriving. The suite I had I would not recommend to people with climbing issues or wheel chairs. I also had to scan my Passport, and take a picture of myself and send before arriving. This is the first time I've ever had to do that visiting Prague, so it seemed a little sketchy at first. But I guess it was needed because there is no check-in desk at the location. It's about a 7-10 minute walk away. Would definitely stay here again. Even though the main street is just outside the window, the windows are double, so you don't hear the noise unless people are screaming. It was my first time not staying in a hotel and staying at an apartment suite like this. Would definitely do it again.

Wow. What a lovely apartment we stayed in. We stayed in a deluxe studio which had ample room and facilities for our needs. The apartment was very tasteful in design, was spotlessly clean and the bed was so so comfortable. We did have a disrespectful neighbour who thought it was a good idea to play rap music at full volume into the early hours. The staff dealt with our complaint respectfully and professionally. The apartment block is ideally located for all of your sightseeing needs and there’s a supermarket and shopping centre less than a 5 minute walk away. A couple of tips: There’s a coffee machine. Take or buy your own pods as none are provided. They do provide tea and sugar. If you decide to cook in the apartment OPEN THE WINDOWS. Either the extraction is inadequate or the smoke detectors are too sensitive! This was our 7th visit to Prague and we’ve stayed in a lot of different apartments and hotels. This has to be up there with the best and I’d definitely stay again. Oh, and the price was good too!

The rooms looked really impressive at first sight, and it was also very nice, but there are some wear and tear here and there, and the carpets were somewhat dirty. The kichen had all we could wish for, and the bath and toilet areas were very nice. But it's an odd choice to have carpet in the walk in area, as you have no choice but to walk around on carpet with shoes.

The bed was good, but there only have very large pillows, big and bulky, and deffiently not suited for children, or me... but looked very nice in the bed.

The air condition had it's mind of it's own, when we turned it on it started running, and when on auto it seemed to run more or less all the time, and that doesn't make much sense, as we were there in week 42, and it was like 10 degrees outside, hardly need to have the AC running all the time.

And now to the real killer, the service, or the lack thereof.

I was in contact with them about parking, as we were driving there, and we wanted to book some parking, but since it apperntly was fully booked, they just stopped responding rather than telling us we needed to find other parking. So we arrived in Praque and then had to figure out parking. Called them on the phone, and after they rejected the call 6 times, we finally got a hold of someone who sounded like she couldn't care less. She did send some info to us via mail though.

When we got to the flats we couldn't get in, because they needed additional information, and we have not recieved the mail with the form beforehand that needed to be filled out, so after a long day of travlling, we had to spend like an hour trying to get that sorted. The woman I talked to on the phone was very calm, helpful and kind, and talked us thorugh the entire process.

Details about checkout and just general information was nicely lacking, and the reception doesnøt talk english, so no help there.

Sent an email to find out if we should be aware about anything with checkout, and it might not surprise you, but I never got a reply.

So it you need a nice place to stay, I will recommend it, but don't expect any help from there company, and please do yourself an favor and be in very very good time with communication so you can have the details sorted...

Here's a BIG caution before you book. Please realise this property is not manned by a reception or full-time staff. They have caretakers that are extremely rude and won't be able to help you. We had an issue with our booking through Expedia and we were not sent an access code to get into the hotel late one evening after we had been travelling all day. The lady at what looked like the reception said we cannot stay because we don't have the code for our room. After standing around clueless and trying to talk to head office for 20 minutes, we were told to go away and visit their head reception, a 10 minute walk away across cobbled streets with all our luggage. They couldn't just help us over the phone. The reception tried to gaslight us into thinking we provided false information and false documents. After visiting the other reception where the guy looked like he was managing 8+ properties on his own, we got an access code and got into our room, over an hour after arriving at the property. This experience ruined our time in Prague and after following up with management after our stay, they continued to gaslight us via email and blamed us for "refusing to provide our passports" even though we can prove we did with security footage and we were threatened by management saying we broke local laws when we very clearly didn't. To make matters worse, we were nearly locked out of our room with our bags still inside when we were told our check out time was at midday but our room key stopped working at 10am. Thankfully, my partner stayed in the room when I headed out on our last morning so we weren't locked out. Again after raising this to management, they couldn't even say sorry. So I really advise that you think twice about booking here. For the most part, the reviews are really good, the rooms are nice and I'm sure we are just a one-off bad experience, but I will add that another couple left the property at 9pm with their bags looking equally upset so I'm thinking what happened to us happened...

I have no words to describe such a bad experience. It was all very expensive and not even up to 3 star hotel. I feel robbed. I will describe what happened and you can judge by yourself.

I booked a suite, added a bottle of Moet and rose petals on the bed as an extra, summing the total up to something close to 2,000.00 USD (super expensive for only 8 days).

When we arrived at the room none of the extras were included. I complained about that and they told me they would arrange the extras during the day when we were out of the room (this was the second day of the stay already).

When we got back at our room at the final of the second day, I was really upset that they just left the champagne at the table (no ice and no cups as promised) and the roses in a jar and not over the bed as promised. In fact the bed was not even organized.

At this point, the whole expensive surprise was completely ruined. I had to explain to my girlfriend what the surprise was supposed to be because it looked like I bought some things on the market and left them on the table.

If this wasn't bad enough, we discovered that they doesn't offer cleaning services as any 3 stars hotel does. You have to wait 5 days to get your room cleaned or pay 15 euros if you want an extra cleaning which means just clean towels.

If this wasn't bad enough, the cleaning ladies literally invaded our room while we were still inside and asking them to wait for us to leave. They started to take out the trash and we kept asking them to leave and wait for a couple of minutes for us to leave the room. They didn't listen to us and kept taking out the trash.

We had to wait 10min for them to take out the trash and change the towels because all of our bags were open since we were still inside the room. I recorded a video of them cleaning around us.

If you book a 3 stars hotel you will save lots of money and receive a way better service in return. Take that money that you saved and buy something nice for yourself. This place is just...
