Sports Bar Pohoda — Restaurant in Prague

Unfortunately the bartender hates guests (tourists). We wanted to get in for a specific beer (Gambrinus 11) that they have on draft. He told us that he is full all day. OK. We left. We were having a chat in front of the bar and a couple of other guests left meanwhile, so two tables become empty. We went back in, but he loudly said that he is having a reservation for those tables for 10 people later today. Since there was no reservation sign on those tables, it smelled like a lie. We found a nice place to eat nearby. After around 45 minutes we peeked back in the bar. The tables were occupied, but obviously they did not have a reservation together. Where did all the good reviews come from? Very offish when we walked in. Didnt even realise landlady was there. Not friendly at all. Beer very cheap have to give that. F1 qualifying was on, on the only tv in sports bar and landlady turned over after q2 to football that hadn't even started. Wouldnt turn back as "she has to to do for locals" There was only 10 mins to go! So rude as she could see I and others were watching. Would have thought sports bar would have been more...

I was in Prague thirty years ago during the run up to the vote to split Czechoslovakia and I just returned for the first time since then. I am thoroughly disappointed in what it’s become. It’s like Disneyland Harry Potter with unending throngs of tourists at all hours. Even in the Winter. Not to mention a plague of Irish bars. So I was very happy to find this place not far from center. Low key, good prices, and No tourists. Except...
