Old Town Square Apartments — Local services in Prague

The worst host I have ever had. Nothing good to say. It supposed be great weekend with our friends and our dog. IT WAS DISASTER.... Unfortunately from the same beginning it was something wrong with the receptionists and the quality of the service. Let's start from the fact, the we've received: only one set of key - second one supposed to be waiting for us day afyer check in, but the man from the reception told us that previous guest lost the key (first warning). two days after when we reported robbery the lady who checked us in informed us, that the set of key was at the reception for the whole time being (no one gave it to us + the lady who checked us gave misleading information). We were 4 people and 1 set of key really complicated our stay as each of us needed to change their plans and adjust it to the person with set of key (each time someone is going out/in need to have key to open and close the main door downstairs - which is ridicoulous.....) not the apartment we booked - we paid for the apartment with air condition and soundproof. There was no AC and the apartment WAS EXTREMELY LOUD! We needed to keep windows open for the whole time being, otherwise we would be melting from inside. We were with dog, so the air condition was must have as we knew that the temperature in Prague will be overwhelming for her. In addition we couldn't sleep as from both sides of the apartment there were pubs or whatever and parties were ending around 3 am in the morning. You can imagine how mad we were...The day after check in and we went to pick up the 2nd set of key the receptionist and to report that we don't have the apartment we booked, he didn't even try to resolve the issue with no AC or soundproofing and didn't apologise.

Nie podobało się · Really unproffessional and dissapointing for us as it wasn't all. We needed to ask to have fans. The man informed us that someone will deliver it to our apartment and we don't have to be there. It was on Friday and no fans were delivered that day. We were messaging the host, however no one responded (until today and we stayed there between 23-26.06). However there was more happenings. On Saturday we closed apartament and all windows and left around noon. When we came back we could see from the outside that the balcony was opened and something was wrong. It was the most inconvenient and unpleasant experience we have had. When opened apartment we found out, that someone left 2 fans (really small, so I cannot imagine how it could help us to air 80square meters....) AND ROBBED OUR APARTMENT. The balcony was untouched so it looks like it was an inside job. Either the host and booking do not want to take responsibility for the fact we received a different apartment without AC and soundproofing walls and that someone took things worth of over 20 000 KC. We spent over 4 hours with the police on Saturday evening and this is not how we expected to spend the eve. Also the host didn't offer the different apartment so we could feel safe during the last night, but on the check out the lady who checked us in and was there when we reported robbery told us that someone was waiting with a new apartment. No one called us, no one messaged us and no one told us on Saturday eve about such opportunity. Another lie / misleading info. We do not recommend this place at all. We can hope that someone will take responsibility and refund for the stolen things and for the apartment we didn't book will be granted. The manager of the place do not want to speak to us and is always on holidays whenever we ask...

You will not be staying at the quoted address!

We booked this apartment because it was incredibly close to a series of appointments we had in Prague. When we arrived, this was the address only to pick up the keys. Our apartment was over half a mile away, meaning our appointment destination was now an 18 minute walk, instead of a short stroll of a couple of minutes. Nowhere on any communication was any address given aside from the reception address, so we naturally assumed that's where we'd be staying. This company are falsely advertising accommodation.

Also, the pictures of the apartment we were supposed to be renting bare no relation to where we actually stayed.

We had to take three suitcases quite a distance on the evening we arrived.

When we arrived the heat had obviously been on for ages at full blast and the apartment was absolutely roasting. It took quite a while to cool down after I adjusted the temperature. Theapartment was dated and had no working lights in the seating area (difficult to unpack when you arrive at night), causing my husband to walk into a table. I found the two coffee machines dirty and the perculator full of old coffee and mouldy water. A standard lamp didn't work. In the morning the hairdryer didn't work and when we tried to use the toaster the power went out. We then discovered a leak from the bathroom that was coming down into the seating area.

We arrived back from our first appointment at around 10.30am and a handyman was here regrouting the shower. Nearly an hour later he's still working on the shower and causing noise.

Don't stay here. Not a pleasant experience. Staff have offered no compensation, only an offer to move us last night which I explained didn't suit as we had unpacked and my husband had to work today from Prague.

Staff will not offer any compensation for these issues. We won't be back and are not looking forward to what else we may find...

I had an extremely disappointing stay at Old Town Square Apartments. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had expected, and I feel it's important to share my frustrations so others are warned.

Construction Work: The biggest issue was the constant construction noise in the building. Every morning, starting at 7:00 AM, the noise was so loud that it woke us up. It was impossible to get any rest due to the relentless banging and drilling, and this continued throughout the day. No one informed us about this before booking, and it was absolutely unacceptable.

Unfriendly and Unhelpful Staff: When we raised our concerns with the staff about the noise, they offered us a different apartment. However, they failed to warn us that the new apartment was right next to a construction site! It was like we were expected to just deal with it. The staff's response was dismissive, and they didn’t seem to care about properly addressing the situation. Poor Air Quality and Unpleasant Odor: The apartment had a constant layer of dust in the air, likely due to the ongoing construction. It wasn’t just uncomfortable—it felt unhealthy. Additionally, there was a persistent bad smell in the apartment, making it even harder to feel comfortable during our stay.

Refund Request Ignored: When we asked for a refund or compensation due to the unacceptable conditions, the staff completely ignored our request. They showed no interest in resolving the issue, offered no apology, and essentially dismissed us. It was incredibly frustrating.

Overall, this was a terrible experience. I would not recommend staying at Old Town Square Apartments unless you're okay with construction noise, poor air quality, and rude, unhelpful staff. The lack of care and professionalism was shocking, especially considering the price we paid. I’m beyond disappointed and will definitely not...
