Cernomorka — Restaurant in Prague

Stopped in as I passed by hoping food a food bite to eat, and that’s exactly what I found. A very unassuming restaurant serving up delicious food, at a reasonable price.

The pasta was perfectly cooked al-dente, strong yet well rounded flavours, and great presentation. There is pride coming from the kitchen.

I had to add a small portion of pepper to my dish, but that’s to be expected to adjust for personal taste.

The house dry white was much better than expected and very drinkable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an affordable, yet refined meal.

There is room for improvement on the service. My plates were left on the table for a bit of time, even as the server attended to empty tables near me. The addition of a bussing station may help this. In addition, one waitress seemed disturbed that I asked for a glass of water which seemed odd. Perhaps she was having a bad night, although it’s possible she didn’t understand English fluently which is completely understandable.

I tried three types of oysters here: FDC No.2 (salty), Eleonora No.2 (sweet), and St. Patrick No.2 (salty). Among them, Eleonora stood out with its smooth, lingering taste. The baby squid (cooked version) was also quite delicious.

If you're around the Žižkov TV Tower and looking for a quick, flavorful break, this is a pleasant spot. I had to wait a bit for an outdoor table, but the staff were attentive and helpful with recommendations.

Personally, I would have preferred no background music from speakers, especially while listening to birds and enjoying the view, but I understand others might enjoy the ambiance.

Finally went to this restaurant. Mostly motivated due to the offer oyster and I can say that it was worth it. Is very nice to feel the “ocean” taste being in Czech Republic when we are not near surrounded by water. In terms of other dishes, the tartar sauce of the fried calamari was brutal but the rings itself were a bit thick. Service was a bit slow as well but people was nice. In general, the oysters were my objective and I left satisfied by it. For sure will return...
