After several years of pause, I visited Pho Vietnam Tuan & Lan again. Since the opening of Pho at Letná, I have been a regular customer there for a few years. So I wanted to compare again. And I was excited. I put a chicken Pho Bo and a fried roll, which are my favorites. I liked it very much, that is true for both Pho´s - on the contrary, the same offerings have a slightly different taste, which is great. Pho Bo is slightly more sour at Jiřího z Poděbrad square, the rolls are bigger (so you can order only one piece, at Letná the smallest portion is 5 pieces). At Letná you can even have a smaller soup when you are not hungry (rather taste), at Pho Vietnam Tuan & Lan it is not possible, you get the soup in a high cup, which compicates a little by scooping a portion with a shallow plastic spoon, but it´s OK. Due to the tiny space, Pho at Jiřího z Poděbrad square is rather a takeaway, so that´s why high bowls, which you can take away and eat in the park, which in turn, due to the amount of food, did not come in handy to me, so I finish the food standing there by the wall. Pho u Letné has three sitting rooms, but this difference would not be fair, so I did not include it in the evaluation. Both restaurants are really great me, I will even deliberately rotate them for different flavors - which is always a...
Read moreFood in this bistro has nothing to do with authentic vietnamese cuisine. It used to be quite nice, perhaps one of the better place to go and grab some good and tasty Pho Bo or Bun Bo Nam Bo. But now? Noodles are disgusting, Pho Bo tastes like a broth typical to the czech broth and rolls are tiny and bland. All that for a considerably high and constantly increasing price. And you can only pay in cash. Bravo. One more thing. Why did they make a big and visible sign with food photos and prices when they charge you additional 10 CZK for a packaging? Like, seriously. If you charge this additional fee anyway, why dont you just add it to the final price right way? Beyond my...
