I had a horrible experience on Christmas Eve at this restaurant. There was only one waiter and he seemed to lack experience. First of all, he forgot to bring my drink. Then he brought my brother’s soup without a spoon. I was still waiting for my salad and drink. Finally, after reminding him about my order, he managed to bring my fish but with no potatoes! And on top of that, he brought me the butter knife for my fish! He seemed very busy with another table where he kept forgetting customers’ orders. He didn’t bother to write them down hence his forgetfulness. When he brought the spoon for my brother’s soup, bread basket slipped from his hand and dropped on the floor and then stepped on it! My salad came after several reminders. After I paid the bill, I realized he changed me 100 czk for his lousy service. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t him who cooked the meals. I don’t understand the owner who left this inexperienced kid on his own as there was no other waiter in sight. He basically ruined my Christmas Eve. I felt like in a Czech...

I highly recommend this restaurant if you like traditional hearty food with a skilled modern twist preparation at a very reasonable price compared to other European capitals.

Goulash soup was very well made - savoury and rich. Camembert in marinade surprisingly well done - quite powerful tasting cheese perfectly balanced and complemented with the well prepared marinade. Pork knee knuckle melts in your mouth - meat soft and tender, better than at Oktoberfest. Honey cake was also nice, not too sweet and well balanced.

The meat sauce and marinades did not seem entirely traditional but had a hint of trendy ingredients skilfully blended together to give the food a fresh twist while still keeping it real.

The red house wine was great.

The only downside was that some dishes were a bit too salty.

Things that would make the food at this restaurant perfect would be having m artisanal (homemade) French fries and homemade bread. The ones they had were OK, but...

DO NOT GO HERE. My husband and I picked this place because the reviews were so high, and it seemed like the perfect local place to eat. When we arrived to the restaurant there were no other guests inside and we were hit with a smell of mold. We went back outside and contemplated whether this was a good choice, since there was such good reviews we decided to still give it a try...this was something we definitely regret! We asked to sit downstairs where there was another family sitting. The smell of the basement was awful. It was so damp and musty that the chairs and table cloths were a bit moist. We ordered the schnitzel and beef goulash. My schnitzel, fries ans tartar sauce had no taste at all and the beef goulash was okay but a bit dry. We ended up not even eating our meals and leaving to go to another restaurant. We've traveled a lot and always appreciate a cozy and local restaurant with little frills, but this was...

3 course menu. Garlic soup, salmon with spinach, and as desert, vanilla ice-cream with warm cherries and the honey cake. Delicious 😋 There was a guest coming in who behaved suspiciously and was scanning the guest and coats at the coat rack. The hostess, Taňa, kept a close eye on him. She asked me a couple of times if everything was okay. Felt very secure. Taňa was informative about their specialities and made us feel welcome. Very atmospheric interior. Nice music in the background. Clean toilets. It's definitely a restaurant to return to.

Wow!!! Simply wow! We stumbled across this place by accident, peeked thru the window and saw a couple eating in a romantic and cozy place so decided to go in. The ambiance with dimmed lights, some candles is just on point for a rainy day. We had some beer and appetizer. Their pork knee was delicious and so was their honey cake. Wait-up, their garlic soup was amazing!!! Yes, garlic soup!!! The staff was so accommodating which made the whole experience great. A true hidden gem and off the tourist’s path. Awesome job guys!!!
