We intended to go eat this restaurant on Saturday night and made a reservation for two people, which was confirmed. We arrived at the restaurant as scheduled and were shown to a table. After that, the service was terrible. At first, nothing happened, but one waiter asked if we wanted water. We got the water and again nothing happened. We asked for menus and ordered drinks and again the waiters completely stopped serving our table. After half an hour of sitting, my husband asks the waiter to take our orders, after which the waiter wonders if there will be anyone else at our table. We are surprised and say no because our reservation was for two people. The waiter starts accusing us that we lied and ordered a table for four. I show our reservation confirmation, which says two people. After this, the waiter tells us to move to another table, without any apology or anything. We leave the restaurant due to the rude service. We were the only ones to blame and no one in the restaurant apologized in any way. The most unbelievable thing was that they dared to charge us for tap water that I had drunk half a glass of. With this service I will never go to that...
Read moreWe had dinner at this restaurant because it's near "Det Ny Teater", and it looked great from the reviews, but going out from there we didn't leave with a feeling of EVER going back, you felt like you were in the way of people because it's so crammed, when we bought a bottle they took it with them, so we had to ask for it back. We ordered the grilled tuna but they added both Tuna Tataki and grilled tuna, so our bill went up. The food was not worth the money and some not worth any. They had burned the blood sausage so it was dried out and tough, completely inedible. The beef meatballs were rubbery and tough like they had been over mixed but had good taste. The wild boar was swimming in grease with no taste to it. The calamari wasn't worth anywhere close to it's price with its taste and feel being identical with the kind at a supermarket. They did make a potato omelet and smoked salmon that were fine, but they did amazing with the salad. I would not come back, the taste and quality is not present at...
Read moreIt's an ok place but absolutely nothing more. The food tasted ok although nothing was really hot. Everything seemed like it had been cooked days earlier and then lightly warmed up in the microwave.
Every staff member who walked by tried to offer us to get water. They don't tell you that you pay for it. (Side note for anyone not from Copenhagen: Pretty much all restaurants charge for water. And even if only one person in your group wants it, every person at the table is charged for it.) My issue with El Tapeo de Cervantes is how much they were all trying to push the water on you. I guess it's a VERY cheap way to make a profit.
The food portions are small---even if getting the large. The secreto dish was overcooked. The meatballs were on a bed of basic white rice with peas.
Nothing was bad. But nothing was also...
