I would suggest to avoid this restaurant and the neighboring restaurant "Ristorante Café Leo" as well.
Not only was my food not good at all- ordered spaghettini bolognese, expected al dente since it's supposed to be a real italian place, but got linguine bolognese, with a tasteless sauce (it seems no herbs were used to flavor it) and overcooked pasta - but I got caught up in the ongoing feud between the two restaurants.
Already, you can see that both are italian restaurants with a similar name, side by side. I did not notice that before going. I thought it was one big place. Went to Leo's Pizzeria and asked the cook if I can sit further at the tables outside, I repeated "The ones further?" Because they looked different. He said and I quote "Yes it's all ours". So I went to sit at a table only to be greeted by a man asking me to leave. Turns out it's another restaurant.
So, there is no place to sit really except a park table outside. So I sat there while the owner of the other restaurant came in to have a discussion about the situation with Leo's pizzeria owner.
You thought it would end there? No, it doesn't.
While I was eating outside, a very italian looking teenager came to sit by my side. He sat there in silence, not having ordered or anything. He stayed there about 5 minutes. It was very weird an uncomfortable, I thought he wanted maybe to steal from me. But he suddenly left and... went inside the neighboring restaurant (the other Leo place). I finished my meal and decided to go speak to the owner of Ristorante café Leo. Clearly the boy was related to the owner, maybe grandson or nephew, I asked if the kid was his son, he denied. I said the teenager was acting weird and left. I saw the teenager again, sitting by the side of the restaurant with a friend or sibling of his age.
I am pretty sure what happened is that I got caught up in their ongoing feud. Not sure of the intentions of the cook, maybe he understood my question badly, maybe he did it on purpose. Not sure either of the intentions of the kid, but I think he was sent by the owner to sit there either to annoy me as a customer or show the owner "look, we can send people to sit on your tables too!". Childish behavior.
To both of the restaurants: don't use your customers for your personal agenda. Move, close or learn to live together. This is not good business, and a very bad look for Copenhagen city for...
Read moreTop pasta and pizza in Copenhagen. Quick service, a friendly environment, and smiling faces. Their dedication to providing excellent food and exceptional customer service truly sets them apart. The pasta dishes are cooked to perfection, with rich flavors and al dente noodles that melt in your mouth. The pizzas are equally impressive, with a thin and crispy crust that is topped with fresh ingredients bursting with flavor. I want to thank Antonio and Aldo, in particular. You guys made my day! Thanks...
Read moreFound this little gem on Google while in the nearby park with the kids. It looked like a good option for dinner and I'm so happy we stayed and ordered 2 pizzas here. Extremely fast service, our pizzas were ready to eat in like under 10 minutes, very friendly and customer oriented service and the pizza guy and his 'Buon appetito!' when the order was delivered made our day! It is worth adding that we enjoyed the pizzas, thin and crispy just as...
