While strolling down Store Kongensgade in search of lunch, we stumbled upon this Thai gem. Wokxpress Restaurant is a hidden treasure in Copenhagen that promises a delightful experience. From the inviting ambiance to the attentive staff, every aspect exudes warmth.
Asbjørn, our host, not only guided us through the menu but also shared the rich history and his deep passion for the cuisine, which was evident in every dish. The food, thoughtfully prepared without excessive oil, was a revelation.
We indulged in an array of delectable starters - from Fried Wonton to Chicken Satay, Fried Dumplings to Chicken Wings, each paired with unique and flavorful sauces. They were a tantalising start to our meal.
For the main course, I opted for the Chicken Pad Thai, a mouthwatering rendition with a healthy, lean twist. The balance of flavors was impeccable.
The Tom Yum Soup was a revelation - a burst of fiery and aromatic notes that warmed both our palates and our spirits, making it a must-try, especially on chilly days. The rice, perfectly cooked, complemented the flavors splendidly.
A surprise awaits in the restroom, which I won't spoil, but it's a unique experience that adds an extra layer of charm to the visit.
In summation, a visit to Wokxpress Restaurant is a must for anyone exploring Copenhagen. With reasonable prices, it offers an unforgettable culinary journey that's worth...
Read moreInitially shortlisted this place to cut cost while satisfying our craving for Asian food. Saw the great reviews and menu from 2 months ago. We came today and was a little disappointed, fried rice was great but only had 5 shrimps(no other seafood like squid or fish provided) and other vegetables. Green curry isn't as savory as what we are used to in Singapore. Price from old menu was like 109 whereas on our menu today it was 159. Also tap water is 25 while iced tea is 79. Mango stick rice at 129(it's 50dkk max in Singapore, let that sink in). Last shady thing I would like to share is that they preselect 10% tip as they hand you the cashcard machine. Imagine you can't read or didn't pay attention, you'll spend the next 15mins arguing like a cheapskate. 😂 Recommend against visiting this restaurant as we've been to a few others with way better value. Toilet was...

Normally, I would rate Wok Xpress 5 stars, as their food is usually very good. However, my experience yesterday was extremely disappointing. I ordered a Tom Yum Soup for delivery, and it was so excessively salty that it was completely inedible - almost as if someone had accidentally dropped the salt mill into the pot.
Mistakes happen, and I would have been understanding if they had acknowledged the issue. Unfortunately, their response was that “it is supposed to be salty,” and they insisted there was nothing they could do. This lack of accountability and unwillingness to address the problem is unacceptable.
You’ve lost a loyal customer. A small gesture to make things right could have gone a long way, but instead, it’s clear customer satisfaction...
