Rangoli — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Food: palak paneer and cheese naan. I was asked if I wanted to make Palak Paneer spicy- which in western countries means just the green chillies and the red chilly powder. So I would like to take this opportunity to explain that Palak Paneer is not supposed to be hot spicy ( i.e by chillies) it could have aromatic spices like cinnamon and dhania powder but it should not have excessive chilli flavour to it. And second, palak paneer gravy is supposed be green. Here I found the gravy to have a lot of tomato and onion base. The paneer cubes very few and small in size and not soft. Getting good paneer in Europe is a problem until not home made. They took sufficient time with preparation so that’s a good sign. The cheese naan, had a thick layer of cheese inside, which hinders with the taste. And also fills you up faster. Food was ok, but service terrible. The worst I have experienced at any restaurant in Copenhagen. The waiter didn’t have time to answer our questions (“I am busy right now”, he said), even though we were the only table in the whole restaurant. We felt we were a burden. In addition, they played Iranian (or something?) music in an Indian restaurant, which felt very misplaced. The waiter didn’t agree to our feedback, instead started arguing with us. We had a wonderful experience at Rangoli Restaurant! We visited for dinner to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel special. Their kindness and warm behavior truly made her day, and we’re very grateful for the thoughtful service. As always, the food was exceptional.
