During my visit to Cairo, I had the opportunity to try the boat trip restaurant experience at Dahabiya Cairo, and I must say that it left much to be desired. Here's a detailed review of my experience.

Gathering aboard the Dahbya boat with about 42 adults and 7 lively children, promised an evening of delightful company and culinary delights. Hosted by Mrs. Diana from the sales department and expertly managed by Mr. Mostafa, the trip was flawlessly executed, leaving us with lasting memories of a splendid evening on the Nile.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the sumptuous dinner spread. Featuring two main course options—grilled meats and seafood—the menu catered to diverse tastes with impeccable presentation and taste. The grilled meats were succulent and perfectly cooked, while the seafood offered a fresh and flavorful alternative. Accompanied by a selection of sides and desserts, the meal was a testament to the culinary expertise of the onboard chefs.

I booked an evening cruise (drinks only) through WhatsApp — the team was super flexible and easy to deal with. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that any extras, like desserts or nuts, need to be ordered before the trip, so we only had drinks during the cruise.

The boat’s location is easy to find, but parking nearby can be tricky — I’d definitely recommend coming by taxi.

While waiting at the reception, we were served a welcome drink — such a nice touch!

The cruise started exactly on time, and we got to enjoy two hours of the Nile’s magical vibes.

As mentioned, my booking was for drinks only. I was a bit disappointed that the options weren’t quite what I expected — they offered the usual hot drinks, some fresh juices, and mojitos. Also, the drinks service came in two rounds only (not open buffet), and we had to ask a few times for refills — not my favorite part.

That said, the decor, lighting, and overall atmosphere made the whole experience feel truly special.

The live band was amazing and super friendly! They even let my son join them for a short performance — such a sweet moment. The band moves between the first and second decks, keeping everyone entertained.
