Husband and I went to St. Patrick today. I normally don't make it a point to write reviews right away, however, this experience stuck with me. We made a reservation a couple of hours in advance, just in case. It never came through and they had no evidence for it. As an explanation they tried to tell us that "They don't know what happens when you make the reservation online." Okay. Thankfully we found a booth in a cozy corner. Strike one for us was when our waitress (she was a trainee. This is important) came up and as I was placing my order, she interrupted me 3 times, did not understand the order in which I asked her to bring out the food (I ordered an entree, a salad and a soup. To be brought out in this order). She dismissed the entree at first, which I had to clarify twice that I wanted. She then messed up my order of salad, so that it came after my soup (after being asked to do the opposite).
Strike two was, she failed to take my order of a non-alcoholic mojito, at which point I gave up even placing it. My husband had to go over to the counter to order it for me, as well as the chocolate cake he wanted, because the waitress took off before he had the chance.
Strike three was when my salad arrived, but instead of the chicken Cesar salad, I got the salmon one (can't stand it). Also, my husband had finished his drink and had to walk up to the counter, as the waitress not once came to check up on us, to order a new one. He waited for his new drink for 10 minutes. He finally went to ask, and it was just sitting on the counter there.
The chocolate cake was covered in ice cream, thus pretty soggy when it arrived. My eventual salad order which came out did not have the typical Cesar salad dressing. Instead there was some sort of weird cheese sauce. Which did not smell well. However the soup I ordered and the grilled chicken my husband got were amazing. As was my virgin-mojito.
Overall, the service quality and speed were lackluster and the food was messed up. I won't be going there again, probably.
When we presented our grievances to the older waitress, she was very gracious and explained that the girl had been training for 2 days only. I really hope she will learn of this experience as I'm sure they will tell her of her mistakes. I hope that she won't lose her job, but she should be paying more attention to the customers wishes and double check the order if need be.
PS! The older waitress did give us a discount for the lacking service we...
Read moreI have been here twice and had one good and one bad experience. The food is good and I really enjoy the atmosphere. But once when I went to eat with my parents I decided to order online instead of through the waitress.
What happened was that you could write a note for your food (for example I ordered without tomatoes and certain vegetables, due to allergies). However, I was served the food with both tomatoes and vegetables, and the waitress said that the chefs do not see the note that is written when ordering online. Which defeats the purpose of having having the note all together! She actually started arguing with me, which felt really unfair, but eventually gave me a new dish. The shrimp on my pasta was cold (So they probably just re-purposed them). Not the best experience, will definitely not be using the online order...
Read moreCame to eat in with a group of 6 for dinner on a Sunday. It had a lovely view of the sea and looked really fancy. The service was also quite good. I was suprised that the prices were relatively on the cheaper side - the portions were big, visually appealing and tasted really good. So I’d say it’s a great spot for a family dinner or a brunch with friends. Only big minus thought was the music. Halfway through our dinner they turned on the music (which I guess they forgot earlier😅) and it was some tasteless tiktok 100 playlist with some of the songs being really inappropriate. Also it was really loud to the point that it was hard to have a conversation and even hear eachother. I felt bad for the tables next to the speakers….So if the music was quieter and maybe more fitting to the vibe of the restaurant I would have...
