Steak 'n Shake Cannes Croisette — Restaurant in Grasse

This is my worst fast food experience ever! :) Yes it was busy but what I experienced at this fast food restaurant was beyond believes. I ordered outside and according to one of the guys I could pick any random number as the buzzers were out of order. Anyway, I picked number 23 (Michael Jordan), remember this. I paid at the machine and went inside where they told me to go outside and have a seat. On my question where to find me (it was a massive terras) they convinced me they will find me, not to be worried! We sat down and we saw waitresses passing by continuously with burgers and fries (and other stuff). It was so sad to see the girls wondering around looking for the right numbers (there was a terras on the back, front and a diner upstairs. No idea where somebody was sitting. Then she finally came with number 23 but unfortunately somebody else is also a fan of Michael Jordan and it was “another” 23. After long time waiting I got my burger and fries which were cold obviously and had to get my coke with a QR code at the desk which they didn’t mentioned in advance of course. All together very frustrating , inefficient restaurant. Tip! At least give customers a marker with the number so that the waiters/waitresses can see who is where, I don’t know, but this was just very very very stupide. Alright so I ordered some food here on Uber Eats for myself and my husband after a long day and I really wanted to enjoy it but, it was really, really bad. Perhaps the experience is different in person or earlier in the day but for us, with take out in the evening, it was like there was no concern or care at all put into our dinner.

To start, we ordered from here explicitly because I really wanted a milkshake- and they didn't send the milkshake I ordered. They didn't send a milkshake at all. It was there on the receipt, but not in the bag. The fries were drenched in oil, super soggy, and practically inedible. I ordered a toastie/grilled cheese sandwich for €9, and I received two rubbery slices of bread with this tiny piece of cheese on one side. Half of the sandwich was torn. It was depressing.

I ordered my husband a hot dog and fries; his fries were worse than mine and his hot dog was hard. The sausage itself was physically difficult for him to try to eat because it was so firm- and that hot dog ran us €7.20.

It was a really disappointing meal all around. Which was an absolute shame. Definitely can't currently recommend for take out, at least. Especially as I'm sure it costs more than it would in person, but for horrible...

I first tried the branch in Biot and it was fine but to say this Cannes branch is fine would over-rate it. And I have now been at Cannes 3 times and would change my rating to ONLY TWO (2) STARS and the only reason for the stars at all is LOCATION across from the beach.

Yes, Big burgers and big shakes. Disorganized staff so always line and for a fast food restaurant the language choices and comprehension is not good.

But back to food--really very disappointing! The shakes are good and large or medium size your choice. The fries are either over-cooked or under-cooked and always too greasy. The hamburgers are the biggest disappointment unless you are a fan of overcooked ground meat! They will not allow you to have rare or medium rare----all hamburgers are cooked the same way---cooked first likely and then grilled again when you order so none of the meat juices mixing with the cheese or with the avocado or other toppings. So basically this is a very overpriced fast food restaurant near the beach with food about par with McDonald's or Burger King. And the staff is just as disorganized "off season" in October as they were at high season (summer) and low season (September). So go for the shakes and sit at the...
