Beautiful location right in front of the Russian church. Very tight seating but the waiters are very friendly. Food: Saying as a Russian, it’s a pity. What a beautiful restaurant, if you took better care of the food part (essential) it would be 100 stars. Borsh that is liquid as water and has for some reason randon 3-4 tiny pieces of chicken (jesus why chicken), and a few vegetables floating. Shuba salad was okay, The beef Stroganoff: the meet was VERY hard and dry but the sauce was pleasant and tasty. we decided to give it a last chance and order a dessert but the honey cake was unfortunately one of those chemical tasting cakes from the box that you can buy at any Russian shop. Black bread is very good but it’s also from the Russian shop. The blini for the caviar were charcoal black which is a sad accompaniment for the expensive black caviar. Overpriced (e g 7 euro for small piece of dry cake that does not even taste like suppose to, and this list goes on..). No wonder that they only have few customers per day. Ignore fake 5 starts comments, those are trolls probably. I am russian and I can tell that this food does not taste like authentic russian food. Not worth. Only sour pickles were good, therefore they deserve 1 star.

Pavlova however had one of those German supermarket-inspired lifeless inedible meringue bases that is a real crime in Paris (so, restaurant managers, please consider improving that). Beware of the live petty bourgeois Russian music. It’s very much on the historical period theme but it’s rather invasive in this small space and can turn your dinner experience into a bit of a nightmare if you don’t like these...
