Really cute new place in the neighborhood but the service is some of the worst I've experienced in Paris. We went twice in the first week it opened and will not be going back. The second time was so bad that we left before they could even take our lunch order. It's a shame because the terrace is very charming, but I won't spend another euro supporting this type of restaurant culture. They clearly want to establish a "see and be seen" atmosphere, but they will fail. After waiting 10 min at the entry to even be acknowledged, we were sat at a table. I watched the "manager" (the worst of the bunch) sneer at multiple clients that approached, asking for a table. His range of answers/lies was impressive... among my favorites were "we don't take reservations" to be immediately followed by "if you didn't reserve, we don't have space." He was obviously only refusing people that didn't fit their "target demographic." He is also incredibly rude to the poorly trained staff, who are nice enough but don't seem to have any idea of how to work as waitstaff. As for the quality... the hot chocolate is EUR7 and just a watery boxed mix. The tea is lovely (Mariage Freres), but they only give you a tiny pot of hot water for EUR6 and will not refill it. Coffee is below average and similarly expensive. When waitstaff brought a wrong order, it took 15 minutes to bring the correct one. I don't mind the prices if the atmosphere and quality are there - but here I must pay to sit in a hostile environment and suffer their terrible food/drink and service. Your final punishment is to be sneered at by the same manager on your way out... truly disgusting and the worst of Paris....
Read moreA REAL SCAM, DON'T GO THERE! Unfortunately I went to this place for dinner with a group of 16 people, I say unfortunately because it became a real nightmare.
Starting with the most serious thing: They TRIED TO CHEAT US WHEN PAYING THE BILL by charging us as much as 40€ more than the total written on the receipt. Fortunately we realised in time and pointed out to the waitress that her calculation was wrong, she began to get upset and be even more rude. Worst of all, once the bill was settled, we were detained in the restaurant and accused by the waitress of not totally paying the bill!!! Luckily we had ALL 16 kept our receipts and could prove payment, otherwise they would have charged us more! This is not a mistake because there are so many other people who have reported the same in their reviews!!!
This restaurant is ALL ABOUT CHEATING THE COSTUMER: -During dinner we asked the waitress several times for "caraffe d'eau" (in France it is free). They told us that they had run out of water containers and that we would have to pay for bottled water. We then asked another waiter and he brought us 4!!!
-From the very first moment we perceived the rudeness of the staff. As soon as we were seated, we were given the menu and shortly afterwards the waitress came by to ask for our orders, SHOUTING at us and addressing us in a totally inappropriate manner. We asked for the ingredients of a dish as there were allergic people. The waitress gave us an annoyed look and said she didn't know and TO GET SOMETHING ELSE!!
Is full of exquisite and cosy places in Paris where you can spend lovely moments. I suggest you NOT to go here if you don't want to live...
