We travel a lot, and we frequently go to restaurants in different countries. Having been in Paris for almost a week we found this place and liked the menu. We thought it would be a good experience. I was wrong. The waitress was rude, like leaving you talking while ordering to go check something else and not coming back for 10 minutes. Another surprising detail was seeing her almost throwing the silverware in the table. The service was also extremely slow and they would take ages to take anything to the table. And I mean anything, like a simple bottle of beer (I waited 20 minutes for that). She forgot our drinks which I had to order three times and finally arrived a while after the plates were already in the table (and the dishes had taken more than 40 minutes to arrive). The cherry on the top: they just forgot one of ours daughter’s order. After being there almost two hours we just paid what we had consumed and left. Interesting to see the waitress laughing after saying to her the bad service we had received. Btw the food is below average. A place to avoid. Paris has too many good places for dinner. This is definitely not one of them. Date of our visit: July 5 2018...
Read moreCrêperie Framboise offered a reasonably priced meal in a convenient Paris location. The crêpes were good, well towards the top of my list and the prices, while not particularly low, were certainly reasonable for the quality of the food. The menu offered a good variety of flavours and was well thought out. Three main course crêpes, three desert crêpes, one starter and two espressos ran up a bill of 55 Euros.
The crêpes are made with buckwheat, which gives them a darker appearance and a richer flavour. We definitely prefer this recipe to the "blonde' crêpes than many more tourist oriented cafés favour.
This cafe appears to be part of a small chain, it didn't have the feel of a chain restaurant thought. It was however stylishly decorated and clean throughout. The waitress, while friendly, was slightly indifferent and it appeared as if she deliberately ignored us on a couple of occasions, which was a little disappointing a she only has two tables on the go at the time. 4.5 for the food, 4 for the service, 3.5 for the price, but we would return and this cafe is worth a visit if you fancy decent crêpes from a reliable, small chain in comfortable...
Read moreThe restaurant is medium sized and fairly tightly packed. Since we had a few people and a pram, we were able to go upstairs. There were only a few tables up here but it was nice and quiet. We were given menus and water once we were seated. The menu had a fair selection of savoury galettes and sweet crepes. We had a light lunch so I decided to try one of each. The raclette galette was delicious with ham, potato and cheese and it was really filling. It would have been a nice meal on its own. We ended up sharing a couple of crepes between us since we were all quite full. The banana and apple ones were nice. The friendly service and tasty food makes this places a nice restaurant for a meal. It is also quite close to the Eiffle Tower, where...
