Armande Montmartre — Restaurant in Paris

Armande is almost like one of those hole-in-a-wall establishments - it’s not loud, it’s not trying to rope you in with anything flashy that screams “French tourism!” It is a humble establishment, leaning more towards the cute and quaint aesthetic, that’s quite easy to miss if you don’t know what you’re looking for.

Don’t let this appearance fool you, though, because every meal that I had here could’ve been served as an appetiser at a fine dining restaurant. Each meal had a unique blend of flavours and ingredients borrowing from different cultures, but with an underlying French cooking philosophy that blended everything together and made for a delicious bite every bite.

My husband and i chanced upon this cafe, in the lovely neighborhood of Montmartre, on our last day in paris , just few hours before our flight back and I'm so glad we did. The food here was the most soul warming and flavourful we had in a week of our stay in paris ! The crab burger , the gnocchi and even the vegan sandwich were delicious. The deserts were mouth watering and we got some back in our flight all the way back to India ! The owners are lovely warm people and the ambience is super cute. We walked by this cosy cafe one afternoon and were immediately attracted by its lovely ambience and the beautiful pastries in the window. We wanted to go in, but it was full. The next day we went back and enjoyed delicious coffee and some cake. Margaux, the chef, offered us a taste of her special spicy hot chocolate. That too was delicious! So we kept coming back for more hot chocolate and to try more of her tasty sweets and savory dishes. Not only is the food exceptional, the space is inviting and Armande, Margaux and the lovely server are so warm and welcoming. Our visits to Armande were the high points of our visit to Paris.
