Bar du Moulin — Restaurant in Paris

What a surprising gem! I believe they have new ownership or management as the bartender said they just opened a week ago. A group of us came for a late meal (around 22hr) and they were very accommodating. I didn’t have high hopes for the food, but the pasta of the day was phenomenal and my friends scarfed down their burgers.

A major highlight was that the bar turned into an impromptu dance party around 2230. I don’t know how often that happens, but it was certainly one of the most memorable nights in Paris.

I am local and have my choice of cafes. Bar du Moulin is my morning “go to.” The staff - Pascal, Anna, David and Jean - are welcoming and I look forward to their greeting each day. The coffee is consistent and well made. If you’re looking for a Starbucks this isn’t your place. If you want authentic Paris, then make a stop. This is where neighborhood locals gather to enjoy life. RIDICULOUS There is the bakery and the restaurant. Before you could buy food at the bakery and eat seated at the tables inside the beautiful bakery. Now ONLY THE CLIENTS FROM THE NEXT DOOR RESTAURANT CAN USE THE TABLES INSIDE THE BAKERY. So you have to order the sweets from the restaurant, that come from the bakery, to be able to have a seat.
