Bistro 1 — Restaurant in Paris

We went here for a little goûter, and were dissapointed in every way possible. First I was served a hot chocolate that tasted like muddy water, and so I complained. This was met by an incredibly rude waiter, who a good while later came back with a new hot chocolate because he had tasted it himself and realised I was right. Then we went on to pay our two "formule goûter" that we had seen advertised at 5€ outside, and were shocked when the bill said 15,20€. Apparently, there are two different formule goûter with exactly the same name, the one on the board outside and the one on the board inside (with no price). We were never given a menu, and thus ordered out from the board inside thinking it was the same. Here another waitor argues with us, not too friendly this one too. End of story we walk out quite frustrated after two mediocre desserts, two incidences of rude personell, one muddy water hot chocolate and extremely annoying pop trance stuck on repeat...

Went in for dinner around 7:30pm. Had a couple beers before we went and had a little bit of a walk to get there. Sat down at a table with my colleague and got up to go the bathroom immediately. Asked where the toilet was and waitress directed me to the owner/manager behind the bar. He said “no toilet!”. I am sure all the other patrons drinking and eating could not get to a toilet and had to leave when nature calls? You are a little backwards Bistro 1. Took my business elsewhere and I would suggest you do the same if you might have to use the toilet when entering this...

We found this place accidentally because I needed a bathroom and they had one. We also happen to be vegetarians and wanted a good healthy salad. We both got the Vegeterienne Salad and I got a pint because it was happy hour. The salad was excellent and the pint was delicious. It was a healthy portion of greens, apples, picked beets, tomatoes, and Chevre cheese. I'm not sure what the dressing was but it tasted fantastic. I highly recommend this place.
