We had a memorable dinner at your restaurant on May 26th. Our server Clemence, could not have been more welcoming and accommodating finding us a table. (We did not have a reservation and were just lucky enough to walk by your location by chance.) The restaurant looked adorable from the outside and was obviously very popular judging by all the people seated inside. We went with the recommendations Clemence made after patiently answering our questions about the menu and a wine choice. We could see from the meals being served inside that the duck looked delicious. And it was! Also had the salmon which was so moist and cooked perfectly. The light and not too sweet chocolate mousse for dessert was a perfect ending to a great meal and our evening. Clemence was obviously very busy with all her other customers but still found time to ask us about our travels and make us feel special. She provided us with wonderful service at our table and we really enjoyed getting to know a bit...

Just steps from the grandeur of Notre Dame, down o quiet alley you might otherwise overlook, lies this intimate bistro. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by the staff whom are genuinely friendly and attentive. The cozy ambience is complimented with rustic wooden beams, and create the kind of ambiance you want to linger in long after the plates are cleared. Now, the food-c'est magnifique. Every dish felt like it came from a classic French cookbook, but with just enough modern flair to surprise you. If you are a wanna be "influencer" ", this isn't your spot. There's no flashy signage, no touristy gimmicks-just excellent food, warm people, and the kind of relaxed charm that reminds you why you fell in love with Paris in the first place. Just don't tell too many people. Some secrets are...

The place is truly wonderful! Just imagine: a quiet, cozy atmosphere, surrounded by books and beautiful music—and on top of that, excellent service.

I really loved how well-designed the space is—simple yet elegant interior, and the staff is incredibly pleasant.

The food is delicious as well. I tried frog legs for the first time, and they were genuinely tasty. You’ll definitely stay in my memory! I also appreciated the special menu at a better price—it’s a smart move for customers.

I’m only taking off one star because we had to wait a bit too long for dessert, even though we ordered everything at the beginning.

Still, it was very, very tasty. The staff is exceptionally attentive and friendly. This place was the highlight of our second...

An incredible bistro serving the most delicious food. Well worth the short diversion off the main streets. I had the camembert with honey to start with and then the homemade sausage & mash. Both of these were wonderful. However the French toast with salted caramel and vanilla icecream for dessert was divine, the most indulgent treat. The staff were attentive and spoke good English, which helped with our very limited French. The menu was bilingual. A superb evening and recommended the saint emilion if you like a smooth red. We were lucky to get a table as we didnt reserve but we were fairly early. We'll reserve next time as will definitely return on our next visit to Paris. Thank you to all at Bistro des Livres for a memorable evening and superb cuisine
