"Terrible Service and Poor Quality: A Restaurant to Avoid"
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, not even to my worst enemy. The experience was terrible from start to finish: awful service, mediocre food, and a rude, unprofessional attitude from the staff.
First, we ordered a carbonara pasta, but the only thing "carbonara" about it was the name. Instead of the creamy, smooth sauce that defines this dish, we were served pasta with scrambled eggs. It was completely different from the traditional recipe. When we politely asked for the dish to be replaced, explaining that a proper carbonara is not made that way, the staff told us that "this is how we make it" and that they couldn't please everyone. They even said if we wanted to order something else, we'd have to pay for it on top of what we already had.
To make matters worse, a very rude lady came to our table and insisted that this was a "traditional carbonara" and that's how it's done in Italy. I tried to explain that the scrambled eggs texture was a mistake caused by overcooking the egg, but she kept arguing that it was our problem if we didn't like it.
As if that wasn't enough, I had ordered a lasagna Bolognese, and when it arrived, it was cold and didn't have any meat in it. It looked more like a cheese lasagna. I opened the lasagna layers in front of the staff to show them there was no meat, and she had the nerve to say, "Bolognese lasagna is made with meat sauce." Well, clearly, there was no meat in this one.
After this terrible experience, we read several reviews online, and it turns out that many people--including chefs--have complained about the exact same issues. Apparently, they also received the same rude and unpleasant response from the staff.
The staff was arrogant, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. The food was overpriced and of very poor quality. It was neither authentic nor artisanal, as they claim. It was BAD. Afterward, we searched online and found that nowhere in Italy is carbonara made the way they served it. The sauce should be a smooth silky blend of parmesan cheese and egg, not scrambled eggs with pasta.
In conclusion, terrible food, horrible service, and an experience we'll never forget--for all the wrong reasons. Here are pictures of the "carbonara" and the "Bolognese lasagna without meat" we were served. You can judge for yourselves. Needless to say, we won't be...

The restaurant looked good from the outside and the atmosphere was actually nice at the entrance. We were welcome weirdly by the manager-owner of the place which at the end said that he only works there is not the owner, probably because I complained. He had no experience in how to run a restaurant and most certainly doesn’t know how to smile! Sitting at our “very small” table which was definitely too small to have lunch or dinner on. I was observing the atmosphere for the staff members and the manager himself noticing for about 20 minutes being in front of my eyes, that he was walking left and right doing absolutely nothing but bringing stress to the staff members.
Now; Talking about the food, I ordered Mozzarella, which looked okay but tested at least 4 days old, they had pasta on the display which I thought was freshly cooked and kept warm in a Heated display unit which is unacceptable!! For an Italian restaurant unless you want to run a buffet 😅“Mamma mia”. Unfortunately that wasn’t what it looked like! they were instead Fridge display units! Which means that they cook the food, waited for it to cool down, refrigerate it to then putting it in a microwave when served.
The lady who served us the food was warning us about how hot the plates were and to be careful! “obviously coming out of a microwave!” But I didn’t complain about it because I felt for them, unable to serve plates with bare hands
The worst experience ever! The pasta after being cooked, chilled and recooked tested like paper and water, they don’t know how to cook Italian food! Definitely a joke! I left the whole plate of pasta untouched because they served me carbonara with cream and bacon instead then the real recipe! I informed the manager about the issues and that I was unhappy with the food. Rather than clearing the bill and being understanding he charged for the entire bill even though I only tried the the dish, because it wasn’t right! “pasta, eggs, guanciale, formaggio!” Do it like that next time at least your restaurant will have some reputation..
Plus they should hire a professional chef that will at least cook pasta in the moment, it takes 10 minutes to make a promising Carbonara instead of worming up food for...
Read moreMy mom and I were really looking forward to a nice Italian meal, but this restaurant was a letdown in every way. From the moment we arrived, the hostess was unwelcoming, which immediately set the tone. We were also surprised to see a policy printed on the menu stating that each person must order a main dish — even though we intended to share a pizza. I additionally ordered the carbonara and my mom ordered a pizza. We were told the pizza was “personal-sized,” but when it arrived, it was clearly large enough to share.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for the poor service. My pasta was watery, flavorless, and completely lacking in authenticity. I had just been in Italy days before and enjoyed incredible carbonara — this wasn’t even close. The pizza was forgettable, and the bread looked and tasted like it came from a school cafeteria. On top of that, the prices were excessive — 7€ for a Coke.
Service throughout the meal was inattentive, and when we were leaving, a staff member clearing the table asked if I didn’t like my meal. I told him I didn’t, and he responded, “You don’t like carbonara?” I explained that I usually do, but this wasn’t a good version. He immediately got defensive and insisted, “It’s authentic.” At that point, I just let it go — but the interaction summed up the whole experience: unprofessional and dismissive.
With so many incredible restaurants in France, this one is absolutely not worth your...
