This is a delicious Indian restaurant! It looks a bit unassuming from the outside and we almost walked away without eating there, but I'm really glad we didn't because the food was very good and the prices were too.
This is not your standard Indian sit down restaurant in menu or in service, you order at a counter and receive your food in a microwaved plastic to-go container on a cafeteria tray. (But do not fear!) My wife and I ordered the Punjab which costs 12.9 Euro and includes rice, 3 curries, naan, a drink, and a dessert or 2 samosas. There are 2 cheaper options that cut out the dessert/samosas and naan respectively.
They have a nice variety of soft drinks to choose from to accompany your meal. For the main course, you always receive rice covered in 3 curries. I really enjoyed this because it gives you a wide variety of flavors to try in one meal, something I have never seen offered at other Indian restaurants. At the time we visited, they had about 6 chicken and 6 vegetable curries to choose from. I had 3 chicken curries and my wife tried 3 vegetable curries. Mine were very tasty and some of the best Indian food I've had in a long time. The butter naan came out perfectly cooked, nice and chewy with a crispy bottom. The samosas were very fresh and they included 3 dipping sauces: a spicy tangy sauce, a creamy minty sauce, and a sweet tamarind sauce. I had their rose kulfi ice cream dessert and found it...
Read moreWe are in Paris at this time of the year and have tried almost all 4 Indian restaurants. Leaving empty hearted from all the other restaurants, an Indian soul searching for good Indian taste and variety. We finally landed to Delhicious, approx. 900m from Louvre Museum. I was longing for poori sabji and though Poori was not in menu, the owner was kind enough to plate it for us. He also understand the spice level really good as Indians love spicy food. The taste of poori chole was out of the world. We also tasted Aloo Kulcha which was mouth melting. The glass of buttermilk was cherry on top with hot weather outside. I gave an extra star for amazing service and that extra onion salad with my dish which was served without us asking and Indians would know what I mean. Indians just love having salad with food which is usually not a custom in European Indian restaurants, everyone charge extra for a slice of onions. I am coming again for dinner tonight. Must visit restaurant...
Read morePerfect if you are craving delicious, homely and simple Indian food while visiting Paris. Refreshingly different from the typical food that you often get in Indian restaurants (heavy Currys and spices). The food is light on the stomach and very tasty. They had 4-5 options in vegetarian Currys including Palak Paneer, Chana Masoor dal, zucchini sabzi and Aloo Matar. Same number of options in non-vegetarian. If you choose to have a thali then you get to pick 3 curries ( including dal and sabzi) and rice . You can choose to add a roti/naan , a drink and a dessert. Sooji halwa in dessert is very tasty. Moderately priced as compared to other restaurants in Paris ( Indian and other cuisines). It's a simple little restaurant with friendly owners. Very close to the Louvre museum (about 500 m approximately). Must visit if you are...
