One of my favorite korean restaurant in Paris. I have been a customer since the previous owner, and I always come for the pig feet and kimchi soup. Unfortunately, the Korean owner has sold the restaurant to a Chinese owner. However, I have noticed that the quality has remained consistent, and they have made an effort to preserve the same recipe. At least, I haven't noticed any difference in my favorite dish (the pork feet and kimchi soup). Just a little lack flavor in Tokbokki. In fact, we found the portion sizes have even become larger than they used to be. The service has always been pleasant.
It's just unfortunate for them because this 15th neighborhood is filled with Koreans who expect a higher standard of authenticity.
It's not surprising that there are now many Korean restaurants operated by Chinese owners in Paris, which definately served with even worse quality than Hanzan, yet they still attract a large crowd.
Therefore, I believe we should be kind to Hanzan because, at least, they are making an effort to deliver...
ย ย ย Read moreWe ordered 5 different dishes for 4 people and it was simply too much to consume them all. So we kindly asked the lady if we could take the leftovers home and she said she will put it in a box. When we finished our dinner and asked for our bill, she did not hand us the food that we asked for. We told her that we had already asked the other waitress for the box, but apparently they threw them away. WOW, what a service. She did not say sorry for the mistake that they made. She charges us full amount for the thrown-away food. I recommend you to avoid this restaurant. Many people say the food is good here, but you are not going to get quality service here. Ruined my day, not just because we came back home empty handed, but it's just a simple attitude and lack of service toward the guests. WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS RESTAURANT and you should...

Unfortunately, we notice in the past few months that things have changed. The sweet lady was no longer there, some waitresses looked really lost in their own job and kept talking in Chinese to each other while customers are waiting, the food, while I believe that has not changed in recipe, definitely changed in the quality of ingredients and even the chef's skills. It's really sad. We tried it one more time to make sure we didn't go on a bad day for them but things are still disappointing.
Also, you kinda know it lost its game when you stop seeing a lot of Korean customers visiting for...
