#63th in my Michelin Stars Marathon. A palace outside a palace.
Like many reviews, there’s a lot to say, so I’ll focus on one point that is striking. What’s striking here, it’s that you’re having a Palace level experience. It’s no surprise because both brigades (kitchen and dining) comes from the best palaces. The chef himself comes from the George V. But it’s not enough to explain such a level of quality and attention to detail. The extra touch was revealed to me when I had the good fortune to speak with the chef: he does really care about his team. And that makes a big difference (and not just in talent retention). It makes a difference because you can have a team of great talents performing to their best and delivering a top notch experience. I rarely saw such a brigade outside a palace. Have a look of the quality of execution of the starters for example. Look at the beauty and the size of the cheese trail. Admire the truffle, the nobility of some ingredients. Dive into the wine list and discuss with the sommelier. That’s Palace level my friends! Don’t be intimidated, because true palaces staff have this extraordinary skill of making you feel at ease. The crowd: I saw friends having a great time (may be colleagues have a too good of a time!), business and couples. The mood: High end, design and yet, like in a Palace, you feel at home.
This is clearly at top tiers one star experience. My experience: As usual, I always let of few days (even more) passes by before writing a review. Just to let it settle and see what’s left. Well, you’ll have great memories here. At least, I have. And isn’t it what we’re all looking for?
Update 2022: Please note that the new pictures and videos are directly uploaded.
I went for dinner since I really appreciated when I went for lunch. You won’t be disappointed. Quite flavorful. The service is clearly on the high end for a one star, you even have a voiturier. It was actually more lively at night than during the lunch. I guess it’s a compliment to the wine list… Bottom line we had a great evening. It’s definitely a top tiers one...
Read moreAn incredible dining experience.
We opted for the signature chef’s menu, which delighted us from start to finish.
The meal had bright, intentional flavors that progressed beautifully with each course. I couldn’t find anything I didn’t like about any flavor I experienced. While I struggled to decide on a favorite, I think I was partial to the crab rémoulade. But my husband will never be quite the same again after the dessert course: a pistachio soufflé accompanied with a raspberry sorbet.
Adding to an already outstanding dinner was the wine pairing. The sommelier was outstanding. Even before we ordered, we started with a glass of white that he recommended that did a perfect job of preparing us for the flavors we’d experience for the night. Each selection for the night was spot on—the wines delighted on their own AND complemented the dishes beautifully.
The service was also impeccable—professional, efficient but warm.
After we finished dinner is when we scoped out reviews. We found one where someone compared L’Arome with 3-star restaurants—and put them either in league with or above them. I have to agree. We attended a 3-star dinner the next night and another a few nights later. A week or so later, we find ourselves talking about the culinary accomplishments we experienced at L’Arome more than anything. And to go back to the wine pairing, we talked with the sommeliers during our 3-star experiences—and none offered the same level of insight or provided better options than what we had at L’Arome.

Read moreWe had a wonderful dinner in this 1-star michelin restaurant. We chose the standard option, and as a main menu, I chose veal.
The meal began with an array of appetizers that showcased the chef's creativity and skill. Each dish was beautifully plated, with flavors that harmonized and delighted the palate. The main courses (veal) were equally stunning—perfectly cooked proteins paired with imaginative sides and sauces that elevated the experience to something truly extraordinary.
However, the dessert course was where the otherwise perfect evening faltered. While the presentation was impeccable, the flavors and textures didn’t quite match the high bar set by the preceding courses. The dessert lacked the complexity and balance I had come to expect throughout the meal, feeling a bit uninspired compared to the rest of the menu.
Despite this minor setback, it delivers an outstanding dining experience worthy of its Michelin star. It’s a destination I’d wholeheartedly recommend for anyone seeking a memorable culinary adventure, though perhaps with slightly tempered expectations for the...
