La Cantine Du Troquet Dupleix — Restaurant in Paris

La Cantine du Troquet at Dupleix is a classic french bistro with dishes from the Basque region. You can be ensured that whatever you choose from the menu will be composed of excellent quality ingredients and strong tastes which will encourage you to go back. This review is based on many lunches and dinners I had at this restaurant over the last few years as I work close by. This time, we shared an entrée (starter) of semi-cooked celery, muscles and parmesan cream. Surprisingly, the combination of sea and earth worked very well and would definitely order again. We also had two main courses. One was slow cooked beef, grilled foie gras with mashed potatoes, a great winter dish melting in your mouth. We were told this was a good place to go. It was the most horrible experience possible. The waitress took us into the restaurant and told us to wait at the bar. We then heard some idiot behind yelling at the top of his voice HELLO,HELLO ,HELLO. We turned to see what could cause such a ridiculous scene and this arrogant as_hole was yelling at us. We calmly told him his waitress had brought us in and told us to wait at the bar. He yelled that he had 10 people waiting. We just turned and walked out. This cretin lacked the basic human behavior and showed how incredibly disgusting these ignorant and unprofessional these French a_holes can be. I would give 0 stars if a could horrible service, I asked at the door if I could have a beer at the bar the waiter said yes, but the bartender that was on was a girl, and she seemed really racist because I came in with a hoodie and a cap on my head she said "this is a restaurant not a bar" despite the sign on the outside saying restaurant bar i only wanted a 25cl beer and I would have been on my way, and it looks like a nice restaurant, shame cause I am an influencer and will make sure everyone knows how because I came in dressed a certain way, the bartender was racist and refuse service, I will also be reporting this issue to Défenseur des droits, I am a french citizen and got discriminated against due to how I was dressed, you should he more careful about...
