Le New York — Restaurant in Paris

The WORST service that I’ve ever experienced.

After we ordered, we realized there may be onions in the food, so we asked the waiter if that was the case, and if so, if the onions could be removed. He responded that that’s “too much to ask” and immediately just left.

We were then sitting with no water for 10 minutes, trying to catch someone’s attention to ask for it to be refilled. Ultimately, I had to go to the bar and grab the water directly. The waiter joked that maybe I’d like to clean their tables too.

In the end, we asked them to take the food away, since the service had been awful. The staff apologized, and said they were just joking and that they did ask for no onions to be included.

When we came home and opened the take-away, we saw that the two meals were just stuffed randomly into the two takeaways boxes. Both were upside down, fries from both meals were put into one container, the burger was squished with the fries in between, and they also managed to include the sharp wooden stick of the burger into the container in between the rest of the food - not sure that meets health & safety standards, good thing we noticed that before taking a bite… And of course, on top of that, both meals were full of onions

Long story short - zero service effort, even after they realized that they messed up and were...

I can’t not say enough about this restaurant !! Me and my friends were looking up restaurants near the Eiffel tour to see it sparkle at night and at first we were like we can’t eat at a restaurant called New York but we ended up here and it ended up being one of the BEST meals during our week in France !!

They were all super nice and accommodating as we were a party of 13, we waited no more than 10 minutes and sat down and started with some apps and drinks while we waited for the rest of our group to arrive !!! The servers and bartender were so much fun!! Also super helpful with my friend who has celiac !!

We were all American Exocet my husband and brother in law… my husband had the beef tartare and said it was in his too 5 best beef tartare she has ever had !!!

When the Eiffel Tower was about to light up they told us to go outside to look and it was such a great experience !!

I will recommend this restaurant to everyone who goes to Paris! It’s a perfect French bistro and the prices...

Le New York quickly became a favorite during our time in Paris — we enjoyed it so much, we went twice. The view of the Eiffel Tower is absolutely iconic and added to the overall great atmosphere, but what really stood out was the food and service.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating — especially with food allergies (celiac and nut). They made sure we felt confident and comfortable with our choices.

We highly recommend the duck and steak dishes — both were perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The burrata was another highlight: fresh, creamy, and beautifully plated.
