Disheartened by Discrimination: Le Scossa Restaurant Review
My longstanding relationship with La Scossa took a disappointing turn during my recent visit, and I must express my dissatisfaction with the discriminatory behavior exhibited by one of the waiters.
For over three years, my family and I have frequented this establishment with our beloved dogs, enjoying countless meals on the terrace without any issues. However, during our most recent visit, we were met with an unexpected refusal by the waiter to accommodate us due to the size of our dogs.
This abrupt and unjustified decision left us feeling disheartened and unwelcome. It is evident that the waiter, who had previously been hospitable and accommodating, chose to exercise his own discretion in a discriminatory manner.
Such behavior not only tarnishes the reputation of Le Scossa but also undermines the inclusive and welcoming environment that patrons have come to expect. It is deeply disappointing to witness a member of the staff acting in a manner contrary to the values of the establishment.
I implore the management of Le Scossa to address this issue promptly and ensure that all staff members are trained to uphold the principles of inclusivity and hospitality. Discrimination of any form has no place in a reputable dining establishment, and it is essential that steps are taken to prevent such incidents from reoccurring.
While I have cherished many wonderful memories at Le Scossa over the years, this recent experience has left me questioning whether I can continue to support an establishment that condones discriminatory behavior. It is my sincere hope that the management takes appropriate action to rectify this situation and restore the trust of...
Read moreThis is an authentic French cafe in downtown Paris in a nice area located on a roundabout which boast a circle of neat shops from bakery's to markets, boutiques and even a great dentist where who bleached my teeth and put a crown on in just 3 days.
This became my office every morning. As the owner of a web agency in the states I came out for 2 weeks and I must say the whole staff made me feel relaxed and at ease, especially the waiters (both guys & girls). My hotel gave me unlimited croissants everyday so I didn't have much of an appetite by the time I arrived but the staff didn't seem to mind at all. I relaxed, read the New York Times from the vendor next door, sipped my cafe latte and enjoyed their excellent wifi to catch up on my work.
After the first visit I was hooked and went everyday after that. It has a seasoned feel of a French cafe that has been there a long time and has a lot of stories to tell. (if these walls could talk) There's an Italian cafe next door but it didn't have the same relaxed and open setting and when I'm in Paris I want to hang at a French cafe complete with French staff to get the whole experience! And they didn't mind that I only knew a few French words and were very patient in dealing with me.
They also give great directions to area destinations and the Eiffel Tower is only a 15 minute walk thru the streets of Paris. Oui choose Le Scossa and...
Read moreDelicious Food in a Classic Parisian Setting— Le Scossa on Place Victor Hugo is an elegant spot that delivers on both ambiance and flavor. It’s a bit more expensive than other neighborhood options, but the quality of the food and setting makes it worth the splurge.
The terrace offers a lovely view of the square and is perfect for a relaxed breakfast, lunch or dinner. When it gets busy, the staff can be stretched a little thin, and you might have to wait a bit longer for things like the check—but honestly, it’s not a problem. You’re in Paris—just sit back, enjoy the atmosphere, and take your time. The “shareable”chocolate mousse is delicious but beware that it come in one big bowl that could...
