It is bizarre to think that I would be writing such a negative review for this restaurant. The atmosphere was great, food was very delicious - but too expensive for what you got and even though the weather was freezing, the front door person was warm and welcoming which is what invited us in to begin with. This alone should have made this a 4-5 star review.
However, the service was incredibly horrible. There’s some sort of poetic irony in a French restaurant serving primarily Italian food offering a plethora of multi-language menus turning sour immediately after your ‘Bonjour’ isn’t pronounced with the upmost perfection. As a native English speaker I am not ignorant enough to expect to be welcomed into every restaurant in English, although I did not expect to be welcomed with such rudeness. The waitstaff were impatient, the waitress assigned to our table was abhorrent - sucking her teeth and rolling her eyes after every item ordered, delivering a basket of bread to every table surrounding ours whilst “forgetting” ours, and worst of all, making eye contact with us while we tried to get her attention for some help and then proceeding to swiftly shrug it off and ignore our existence.
Although credit where credit is due, the gentleman who brought out the food was none of these negative qualities. He was kind and very helpful whilst being the only staff member we could get the attention of all night and even though it was not his responsibility to, we asked and he had brought the missing bread to us. This was some of the worst service I have ever experienced for the given price point, but I was not able to bring myself to give a 1 star review due to more positive qualities...
Read moreAfter this comment on my review I personally would like to give you 0 stars as you do not even deserve one star but unfortunately it is not possible. If that place was really that luxury, you would also know that customers must not be treated that way. Customers are the number one priority for you, because through them you get your wages and your bills paid. While half of the tables were not occupied the employees were on their mobile phone rather than serving the customers. You should better work on your service and team but you rather making assumptions here on the Internet to offend people with your arrogant and conceited way! Who do you think you are to dare to insult people?! You literally try to offend everyone who gives you a negative review. Instead of pit your wits against someone you should focus on your restaurant and your deficits. Honestly I was under the impression that your "suggestion" to me was that I should stay away from such "supposedly" luxurious restaurants and rather eat at a fast food restaurant because that is the only thing I can afford. Ha-ha, very sad assumption! You need to be mentally delayed to make these assumptions without knowing the person. Therefore, who ever reads this review I would not recommend this place. Courtesy leaves to wish, poor service, waiting time until someone takes the order is beyond the norm and it is not worth the money... Your welcome and have...

Also, anyone not giving this place a good rating is getting insulted. If you're not willing to take critique on what you're doing wrong, how else will you improve?
Taking time to get customers their food is one thing. It's normal, since it's being cooked after the order is placed. But not taking someone's order, the very first step of serving your customer, that should not take half an hour.
If less than half of the tables are occupied, and the staff is spotted not doing their job, you will develop a fraudulent and sloppy image.
Furthermore, rating the food of a restaurant is exceedingly difficult if there is no service to take the order.
You should see the point by now: Get off your lazy rear-ends and serve the people who are funding your livelihood! You can't discuss your way out of it. You either serve properly and get paid, or you'll shut down and have no establishment.
One last thing: High-end professionals don't have the luxury of excuses. That's reserved for the amateurs. The best don't try to avoid consequences, they take the critique and improve. Amateurs don't get better, because they don't care to improve. So which one are you?
No one's perfect, but seeking to be better...
