Had a group of 7 people come in at around 10pm on a Friday night. The restaurant had plenty of seating and we were sat down immediately. Our group had French and English speakers, but the servers were hard to understand and were very blunt and short with us. I could overhear that they knew we were Americans, and felt they treated us differently knowing so.
We had 2 people in the group with severe nut allergies of specific kinds (tree nuts, etc.). When ordering they saw that cashews were listed on the menu, but asked to reconfirm that the dish they ordered didn't have cashews. The server then responded rudely and said "(in French) I already told you, there's no nuts on the menu. " (even though there WERE nuts listed on the menu)
I ordered butter chicken (15,50 euros). Rice (4,20 euros) and Nan (2,60 euros) are extras and do NOT come with the dish. Which I felt was weird that plain rice isn't included with the main dish. The portion size was relatively smaller than what we were used to (this critique was agreed upon from majority of our group), especially for the price you are paying. But I was still full by the end of the meal (I am a 5'2 petite girl though, so take that as you will). They gave the entire restaurant complimentary free mango juices.
They started clearing up plates when only 3 out of 7 people were finished eating. The servers asking the people still eating with food on their plate if they were finished. This was a very rude French dining experience. Rushing us and clearing plates when we all weren't finished eating is extremely rude. When it came down to the check, I asked if we could split by items of what the person ordered (which can be easily done on the wireless card machine they bring to the table). The server then responded very rudely and blunt, "Go do it on your phone," and dismissed me.
The atmosphere was decent. The table was small for a group of 7 and was barely any space on the table to eat without bumping into someone's glass cup.
Overall, food was good, but I am NOT coming again due to...
Read moreThe atmosphere was warm and cosy The waiters were polite and generous The foods were really delicious I would recommend this place if you're willing to have a pleasant Indian culinary dining
The only thing that I observed which had room to improve was the restaurant was suffering from being under staff! it means that sometimes you have to wait long time to get a coffee which would take only 2 min to do; sometimes they forgot our order; that's not their fault because I'm sure they are under pressure; unfortunately, there were just two staff on dining area, which sometimes one of them was talking to telephone during service; I went there multiple times and I saw that person was talking and working with his phone during service while his colleague where running to serve the clients
After all, I would give a high-score because according to my experiences, they deserved this score , they were working with courage and passion! Even though having a well-experienced manager could significantly enhance their...
Read moreI am traveling for the last 3 weeks, for vacation in Egypt, and then for work through Europe. On my way to the airport, decided to stop by this place for a quick lunch, and turns out, that wasn't such a good idea. I got unwelcome vibes from the moment I walked in. The place was only half full, so didn't seem like they were too busy. I asked for a table by the window that was available, but the waiter said it was reserved, but promptly gave it to the next couple that walked in. The order taking was another challenge - would only point out if something wasn't there after I picked it. It is zero degrees Celsius and sunny in Paris today, so things get cold on the table very fast. He got mw my Naan, and the entree` didn't show up for another 15 minutes, unceremoniously dumped on my table. I think this place is...
