Maison Milie — Restaurant in Paris

The most disappointing restaurant I have visited in a long time. Sticky, unclean tables, a broken chair and a broken window make for an unwelcoming ambience. The waiter takes the order quickly, brings it to the table after a few minutes and then ignores the customer until they decide to stand up and ask for the dessert (And the bill!). The food was also very disappointing. The veggie croque monsieur lacked Béchamel and cheese, was not gratinated in the oven, but instead just two slices of regular toast from a sandwich maker next to a salad with a very sour dressing. The poke bowl was a weird combination of fruits (Strawberry, pineapple and apple??) drenched in soy sauce and a bit of rice. The bowls‘ lentils and the brownie were good - the ice tea was fine, but seriously overpriced (8€).

One piece of advice if you do visit the restaurant: Check the bill before paying, they tried to rip us off by charging 42 instead of 33 Euros (We had one lunch menu and one main dish, they conviniently put the more expensive main course and drink outside of the...

The first problem for us was that none of the staff were wearing masks and no one asked us for the green pass, there wasn't even a gel dispenser. Our waitress was even touching her mouth and then serving us afterwards. The second problem was that some of us asked for a vegetarian crepe, and after some time the waitress told us it wasn't possible, so we ordered something else. The waitress seemed to second guess herself and started to repeat the order back to us, but before finishing she said she had it all. After some time, the rest of us had finished our meals and two of us were still missing theirs. We told the waitress that we were missing two meals. The cook came and informed us that this meal was also not possible. After all this, there was no apology, no discount, no compensation whatsoever. The food was good and the staff was mostly pretty friendly, but the service was miserable. Two of our friends went hungry at this place, you'll have better luck somewhere...

After reading good reviews thought this would be so much better than it was. We had the Eggs benedicte and the French toast. I asked without banana but it came with. And it was like pieces of bread with candy apple caramel hardened onto it nothing like I know French toast to be,I couldn't finish it as so very sweet and u expected. The eggs benedicte was OK, bread was hard borderline stale and the eggs were very under done but the parma ham was extremely crispy. 2 oatmilk cappuccinos the milk was scolded so didn't hold its foam. Lovely to sit outside on the terrace, waitress was indifferent but het Paris! All in all not the brunch place I expected, try many of the other places all...
