Terrible experience, don’t waste your money here !
We were seated at a table that was clearly thrown in as an extra as it was in the middle of walkway in what is already a tight space. Five times I was asked by people to push in my chair so they could squeeze behind me as a shortcut -this included staff.
I told our waitress Morgan about this and she abruptly told me that no this wasn’t happening. I insisted and I think would know, and afterwards she grumpily put a champagne stand to the side of my chair. This was then moved by another waitress.
My friend and I both ordered Crying Tiger and when it arrived it was garnished in peanuts. My friend is allergic to nuts and I stared this in the booking - it also did not mention this dish came with nuts on the menu. When we asked the waitress about this she whipped away the plate without saying a word. So I was left there to eat my already cold dish by myself while my friend was left to assume someone would bring her a new dish. Ridiculous. I also had to ask about getting a new dish in the end. €40 each for that.
Not only was our waitress Morgan rude and unhelpful, the restaurant was freezing - I had to get up to go get our coats mid-meal.
We went on Wednesday for the Psychic event. We were told that a dinner was required to be booked in order to have a psychic session but this was not the case. Everyone from the bar section was getting access too - had we known that we would have chosen this option as it is an expensive place.
We eventually saw the psychic at midnight and had about two minutes each. Not at all the psychics fault, the schedule was completely overcrowded. So disappointing!
As a side note, you are warned that you must dress in a sophisticated and upscale way before arrival only to see that 85% of people there were dressed very casually and not at all upscale.
The whole experience was so misleading and disappointing- no apologies and a hefty bill - don’t waste your time...
Read moreAt first I thought it was very lovely even tho it was overpriced. The staff was nice but at the end I left very dissapointed. We had a bill of 184€ and gave the lady more than that. We also wanted to leave a tip but we always chose how much to leave after they give us the change.
So we were waiting for our change. She left us waiting for a veeeery loooong time. In the meantime she seemed to take care of everyone and anything else expect giving us our change back. It seemed like she was hoping we would just let it go and leave. If she would have given us the change right away we would have definetly left her a tip. But this seemed very rude. So we approached her, thinking maybe she just forgot about it, and without even finishing our sentence she knew what our question would be and answerd that she will bring the change any minute.
She came back with the litte book with the money in it. But instead of the change that we should have gotten she only put 5€ in there. She proceeded to take care of everyone else and left us waiting again. Again, it seemed like she hoped that we would just accept it and leave. But at this point we were super annoyed cuz this was very rude. After some time she saw me trying to get her attention and she instantly said that they dont have the change right now and she is waiting for the money. So she gave us the book with the change knowing that its short and didnt even inform us or anything? this also gave the impression of her hoping we would just leave without the change. I thought that was veeery rude. also because she made us wait for so long.
Also just to make it clear. We would have def gave her a good tip. But this was just really weird
i would not...
Read moreI spent New Year's at Vesper. The dining experience was quite mediocre; the fish was overcooked, dry, and served cold, and the dessert was a big disappointment. However, the low point of the evening was undoubtedly the service. The staff was not only rude but also displayed racist and inappropriate behavior, ultimately ruining my evening. It was a huge disappointment overall. While I could have overlooked the fact that the food was comparable to economy-class airplane fare, the subpar service is a different story. In the USA, a place like this wouldn't be able to survive for long.
PS. I am deeply disappointed to discover that this company engages in unethical practices, including the violation of Google policies. It has come to my attention that interns, such as Madmoisele Clemence Deborde, affiliated with FITZ Groupe, are involved in writing positive fake reviews to manipulate public opinion.
It is disheartening to see a company resort to such dishonest tactics in an attempt to revive restaurants like Vesper. The integrity of the review system is crucial for consumers to make informed decisions, and these actions undermine the trust we place in online reviews.
It's a shame to witness...
