First the important part. The cocktails. They er quite good, both of our cocktails were quite rounded and floral, even though we went for 2 cocktails expecting more spice (we chose one with pepper and one with chilli if I remember correctly). The the part why they get 2 stars. When we went in there was a lot of commotion as the outfit did not suit their style I guess. Generally I wouldn't mind dresscodes when they are clearly stated and I would also be okay if they would just be open about it. Yet half of the team welcomed us very kindly, while the bouncer/angry looking guy at the door didn't agree and tried to convince me to still leave because I was wearing short pants (it was a hot day) untill he finally agreed to let us sit (we didn't fight over it, as I was just totally confused at the situation). Nevertheless it was strange as there were people dressed with sports shirts and other non-dresscode stuff. Went for some after dinner drinks because of the cocktail selection. My husband and I had two awesome drinks each. We were super excited about the spot, being in the industry in the US. The bartender was closing up and asked for last call. We ordered our last two drinks, we watched as he served everyone around us and then leaned in just over 20 minutes later and said he “could not” make our drinks a half hour before closing. We asked why as he was making other drinks and seeing as we ordered drinks as he made last call and he said he was ‘tired’. After we stated that we waited for the drinks we ordered, the bartender offered shots instead. When we declined saying we wanted the drinks we ordered, he proceeded to speak in French to people down the bar (not knowing we knew the language) about how rude and entitled we were.
