Okay, so, the owner is absolutely lovely and takes time to go over each and every flavor with you. The boutique is magical feeling, but everything is just a little overpriced. However, the tea room is closed and is only indicated in very tiny print under the hours. So we figured the wait wouldn’t be too bad since only the boutique is open. We arrived on a Sunday at 10:45, they are open from 10-13h. There were only 4 groups ahead of us, about 9 people. We stood outside for almost 2 hours because everything took so long inside. Missed our lunch reservations at 12:30. Once we were in the front of the line, we watched 7 people (groups of 4, 2, and 1) leave and they still made us wait outside instead of going in, shutting the door in our face each time with no apology for the wait or explanation why suddenly they weren’t letting people in. They knew we were groups of 2 and 2 so it wasn’t about not letting a large group in. When we got in they let us and the 2 behind us enter. There was a tiny selection of madeleines left. Even after making us wait outside for so long, we still had to wait inside for them to run to the back to get the remaining 6 madeleines out. There were at least 3 working, so not sure why one could get them while we were listening to the explanation of the ones displayed. Out of the 4 we bought we could only eat 1 because they just were not delicious to us. The scones interested me but it was unclear on how to get them as they were set out on covered cake stands in the other room. All in all…if you can manage to get in like 15 minutes before opening, then it might be worth it. But it would only be worth it for me if the salon de the was...

Beautiful shop with wonderful interior and I could see that the shopkeeper treats their costumers with care. Sadly not the girl at the entrance who sells the tea and sweets to go. Bad English, no smile and rude answers.

I came in the morning and asked if there would be free tables and got told I should come back in the evening. (Yes u should Reservate first but I encountered this shop by chance, so why not ask). When I came later as told, I asked another waitress in there. She asked the girl and got a pretty long and rude answer in french while not even looking at me. She answered rude in french to her colleague that I need to call and that she just meant MAYBE there will be something free and so on...

I might not speak a good french but sadly I can understand a lot. I don’t demand that everyone should speak english, but than better say no than giving wrong informations to steal my time on a holiday. Her reaction was so rude that i even decided not to take something home from the shop. If they don’t like tourists, please say at the start.

I’m quite disappointed that the shopkeeper let people like this work there, the other waitress seemed nice as well. Bad to get a bad impression already at the entrance. And I have any right to say this, because I worked myself 6 years in 5 star hotels and restaurant, and sorry, a smile doesn’t cost money.

3 stars because the shop is nice and must taste good, 2 less for the bad impression I got just in 2 visits from that woman...
