We visited on 2 consecutive days, both early evening. On the first day we were served by 2 lovely waitresses who brought us one cheese tray and a selection of 6 different wines to share. It was really fun to pour the wine from the 6 chemistry beakers. The pairing with the excellent cheeses made for a lovely culinary experience before we headed further on to dinner. We were so enamored that we returned the next day to try a different selection of cheeses and wine. Unfortunately our second experience was very disappointing. Our waiter, a man this time (perhaps the owner) insisted that we do not share the cheese and wine tasting plate as it is meant for one person. Even when we told him what a lovely experience we had had the previous evening he still insisted. When I asked him if it was a money thing and if we could just pay some extra to receive just one tray of cheese like yesterday he told us it was not about the money but that it was just not intended for one person. It got so ridiculous as I kept asking if we could please just have one plate to share since we would be going out to dinner later and just wanted a bite. We came to a complete impasse and finally gave up and left. Really disappointing since it left us with a strange feeling for about half an hour afterwards. So, while I do recommend going for the quality of the food, if you intend on sharing just make sure you order from the ladies and not from the owner. This would have been a 5 star review if not for this terribly awkward and completely unnecessary 2nd...

Un Cantalou offers a great selection of wine and offers multiple options to pair cheeses, chocolates, and/or meats. The gentleman who took care of our needs was VERY helpful and accommodating as we described our interests and listened to his recommendations. My wife, a fan of red wines, opted for the Completely Red 2.0 Experience with 6 red wine samplings, 3 meats, and 3 cheeses. I explained that I am neither a fan of really dry wines nor really sweet wines and was given the recommendation of the experience with 3 whites and 3 reds paired with 6 cheeses. There is both outdoor and indoor seating available, and the lights inside are dimmed, offering a nice ambiance. Overall, the experience was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed each wine offering; they were paired so well with the cheeses and I experienced a new cheese that just may be my favorite as it blended a cow's milk cheese and mustard seed. Good experience, good ambience, excellence, good service, friendly, and attentive to our needs. we really appreciate your kindness .. thanks for this experience it gives me more ideas, which is the good and best wine in different countries. (La France 🇫🇷 is still the best wine and cheese 🧀!!) Thumbs up for the Fromages!!! It's very delicious, and with the best quality, you will feel it in your mouth 😋 . . Maintain your good quality of wines and foods in general.. and especially your service bravo everyone . Don't be like other restaurants around too much confidence (rude)with the 5 stars rating, but they have very bad quality of service. Always remember good food(drinks) plus good quality of service equals to satisfied customers.. just also maintain being equal into all origins (to all the tourist) treat them as they are like local .. not all tourists will come back.
