Massive portions do not impress me, we ordered waffles, one adult and 2 kids. I managed to finish about 30% of what I was served and the kids left at least 80% on their plates. We are not fussy eaters, in general we all have healthy appetites.
I feel very uneasy walking out of a restaurant when you must leave a considerable amount of food on the table. On my mind is food waste, landfill and carbon footprint and more waste......... The management / owners should seriously consider serving portions that are suitable for humans.
There were three other persons at an adjacent table, we also observed that they could not finish their portions either.
The food was mildly acceptable but far from spectacular. I ordered something with a 'cheddar sauce'. Cheddar, as I know it is a type of cheese. This luminous yellow fluid had no relation to any sort of dairy products that I know of. If it was analysed in a laboratory it would probably prove to be a chemical infusion of flour and tartrazine, let's hope there was some sort of dairy products included, my guess is powdered milk.
The young girl serving us was very well groomed, polite and efficient. She spoke excellent English and manage our order very well.
What I appreciate most about this breakfast café is that it is open from 8 am in the morning. It is very difficult to find anywhere open at this hour in Tbilisi.
The coffee was delicious. Toilets are clean and well maintained. As permenant residents of Tbilisi, It is unlikely that we will go back...
Read moreI don't have personal experience of specific places like this one, but I can offer a general review of a place that has good food but loud music for a small space.
On the positive side, a restaurant with good food and loud music can create a lively and energetic atmosphere, which can be enjoyable for some people. The loud music can create a sense of excitement and add to the overall experience of dining out. In addition, good food can make up for the noise level and make the dining experience memorable.
However, loud music can also be a negative aspect of the restaurant, particularly if the space is small. It can make it difficult to carry on a conversation with dining companions, which can be frustrating for some patrons. In addition, if the music is too loud, it can be uncomfortable or even harmful to the hearing.
Overall, a restaurant with good food but loud music for a small space can be a mixed bag, and it really depends on the individual's preference. If you enjoy lively and energetic environments, then this type of restaurant might be right up your alley. However, if you prefer a quieter and more intimate dining experience, then you might want to look for...
Read moreI was initially very excited to see this place open up. The interior is simple but comfortable, and looks to be a great place for working. The minor design elements are a nice touch.
I loved the berry smoothie I was served, and the gluten free bagel was also ok. Not a huge fan of gluten free options myself, but the portion was very generous and I'm glad that someplace in Tbilisi serves people with dietary restrictions now.
The offer takeout for the smoothies as well, which is great to hear.
Unfortunately the service needs a lot of improvement. While the server was nice about it, my dish was not ready for an hour after we ordered. After I asked for it to be cancelled I got a bit of attitude from some of the staff. Their reasoning was that they were very busy, and they had only recently opened. Due to this I'd suggest coming here if you have a lot of time to spare or maybe ordering ahead (not sure if they allow this)
If the wait times are ever improved I'd gladly come back since the menu seemed interesting, but for now this...
