We booked a family vacation that included two rooms with a balcony: one for an elderly couple, and one for a couple with a pregnant woman and a one-and-a-half-year-old baby with a stroller. We arrived at the hotel at 6 a.m., after driving around for half an hour trying to find it, only to discover it hidden in a hard-to-reach spot, down a narrow sloped alley with a bumpy road made entirely of broken, crumbling cobblestones. Our car was almost damaged every time we drove down that street.
The hotel itself looked more like a hostel — unimpressive from the outside, located in the middle of a residential neighborhood, with no parking. When we went inside, we were shocked to find out there was no elevator! The dining room was on floor -1, while our rooms were on the second floor.
We asked in which room the baby crib was located, and the receptionist told us that both rooms were the same, and that the hotel didn’t have a baby crib at all — “the baby will sleep with you in bed.” Of course, there was no baby bathtub either. The hotel is not accessible at all! Not for elderly people, not for pregnant women, not for babies or children, and not for strollers. Naturally, no one helped us carry the suitcases to the rooms, or the baby stroller.
After many arguments, the next morning they moved us to rooms on the first floor, but without a balcony, and of course without any compensation.
Breakfast was horrible! The hard-boiled eggs were undercooked, with the shell sticking to the egg. The bread wasn’t fresh, there was no variety of food, and every day it was the same. Most of the food was meat-based, not suitable for vegetarians. They didn’t change the sheets the entire week we stayed there, just made the beds. Toilet paper was barely provided. The rooms were also full of mosquitoes, making it very uncomfortable to sleep.
The service was terrible, the reception staff were not friendly at all. It is unclear who rated this hotel as 4 stars! We wouldn’t even give it 1 star. Do yourself a favor and stay...
Read moreMe and my friends stayed at city inn for 2 days. My room was pretty nice, it was clean and spacious, and had a small balcony with a modest view, i personally enjoyed it and the calmness, with complementary coffe, tea, and water. The staff was really friendly, they allowed us to check in a little earlier than expected even though we didn't give prior notice. Mr. Vano was very welcoming and helpful and attended to all our needs, we were planning to go on a long trip the next day but no busses were available, so he helped us by providing a taxi to take us there, the driver Yuri was really nice and helped us explore the town. The hotel location is really close to the metro and only a 2min walk to the city. The breakfast is okay, not a super fancy one but it still had some variety, on the first day it wasn't that good, but it definitely got better in the second one. The only setback are the walls being really thin so it can disturb your sleep if your a light sleeper like me, and there's no escalator (i didn't mind it since my room was on the second floor, but my friends got a bit tired especially by carrying the luggage) Overall we had a great stay at city inn despite everything. Thank you for the staff and...
Read moreFirstly, I want to start this review by saying that 100 euros went missing from our room safe. The room safe was locked, and we did not miscount the money or lose it anywhere else. The money disappeared from the room safe. We reported this issue to reception, but apart from an apology, we didn’t receive any help. The money is gone. I have stayed in many hotels, but this was the first time something like this happened to us. If you decide to stay at this hotel, please keep a close eye on your valuables in the room safe.
The breakfast was very poor. We have had better breakfasts even in 3-star hotels. There is no elevator in this hotel, which is very inconvenient if your room is on one of the top floors. Nobody helps you carry your luggage upstairs.
The location is a bit remote but still good. You are close to Rustaveli Street, but the Old Town is a bit far. The roads in front of the hotel are in very bad condition.
The rooms are adequate and clean.
Due to our bad experience, we definitely do not recommend this hotel. For this price, you can find better and safer...
