Veraze / ვერაზე — Restaurant in Tbilisi

I have travelled Georgia for 12 days and this is honestly the best place I've been to. I honestly wonder how places like Pasanauri or Chevni got their 4.5+ ratings from, they are good without a doubt but this is different imo.. The food is absolutely great, original Georgian Cuisine and so is the service! I highly recommend the Chakapuli, it is the best dish I had in during my entire trip through Georgia. Also, I haven't had a better Georgian salad than the one here. It is incredibly tasty and huge, can serve 2 people easily! Also the kebab is something you should try to squeeze in if you can! Compot tastes good too, for me it can be watered down a bit more (which they obviously do) cause it is quite sweet for my taste. Wine great, chacha great, ambienance great! This was an absolute gem of a place. Beautiful interior, hearty food and lovely service - all typical constituents of a delightful experience. The waiter was affable and told me about the tradition behind khinkali. I would have loved to have tried other dishes but the khinkali itself was a pleasure - beef a with herbs. What I love most about the khinkali is that it feels like the love child of dim sum and ravioli. I left with my stomach satisfied and my heart smiling. Next time I am in tblisi I will definitely be coming here and it should certainly be on your list too. Also, on a slightly off topic note, be sure to check out the back streets around the restaurant. I visited lots of restaurants in Tbilisi, this time I want to explore new places. Veraze is a small and warm place with home made products. First I started with pickled vegetables and garlic (chiraka) . Jonjoli was amazing. Especially the pickled garlic was perfect! I choose Tuschetian khinkali, chokhi and khinkali with garlic and cheese. The green one was so different for me. I also try Bebos Salad with Walnuts. It was fresh and delicious too.
