We ordered 2 cappuccinos and desserts. I would like to start by saying that the place itself is terrible, there is not much space, it is terribly uncomfortable to sit here. The barista clearly did not interest us in her work, such people simply cannot work in the service industry. The coffee is tasteless. From desserts we ordered cheesecake and tart, they forgot to ring up the tart for us (or they forgot to put it in, I can’t say, since they don’t give out receipts), and when we came to ask about the tart, one of the baristas looked me in the eyes and smiled, as if mocking me. The barista started putting in a berry pie, to which I clarified that I asked for a tart, to which the barista whispered “… it’s a tart”, but in the end she put in what we asked for. The tart turned out to be terribly tasteless, the shortbread base was terribly hard, whipped cream instead of cream, and 3 strawberries on top, nothing special at all. From desserts we also ordered cheesecake, it was mediocre. the price of coffee and desserts simply does not correspond to the quality not only in taste, but also in the atmosphere in the establishment and the work of the baristas. and change those ugly sugar/napkin/coffee stick holders. why are the sticks on the tables like that? I forgot to mention that the baristas are sitting on their phones watching TikTok at their workplace, and the coat rack is about to...
Read moreThe “large” cappuccino had little to no crema. They use artificial take-away cups even if you eat in, and if you order a large it is only half filled with liquid - the rest is foam of a coarse consistency, not smooth and fine like you’d hope. When I asked about the half filled cup, the lady condescendingly said this is what a cappuccino is. Having had cappuccinos all over the world I’d beg to differ. The taste was below average.
The first time I came to this place I waited 5 minutes at the counter without my presence even being acknowledged before I moved on to a different place, frustrated.
The chicken baguette was quite nice on the other hand. I’d recommend changing to mugs for coffees, focusing on achieving a finer foam consistency for cappuccinos and switching to fresher coffee beans. Also friendlier service skills would make the place a lot...
Read moreAs noted in one of the comments above, this is one of the cafes that opens earlier than the rest in the area (at 8 am). Therefore, I specifically came from a few blocks down the street to look for it. At 8:15, there was nobody there. At 8:20, a girl came and opened the door. I was so glad to see her! She looked like a sleepwalker though, totally unable to wake up. I rushed to her and asked for 1 coffee. She said, oh, please, not now. I first though it was something like a figure of speech and that she would actually sell me coffee as she had anyway come to open the shop. When I asked again though she simply refused because she was too sleepy to make the coffee... First time in my life. My advice: if you cannot stick to your schedule, simply change it rather than send...
