January 12, 2024, my friends and I came to the sound of good music and a fun atmosphere. We made an order and enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere. the waiters were very friendly) the music played was mainly Georgian and sometimes compositions in English. I approached the presenter to ask him to play my composition. approved and offered a microphone if I wanted to sing. I included a song in Ukrainian, rhythmic, to fit the general mood in the establishment. our entire company was from Ukraine. We went out to dance. but the song was soon turned off with dissatisfied faces, not even being allowed to finish half of it.
We asked what happened - the answer was We don't play music in Russian. We clarified that it was in Ukrainian (this was also indicated in the title). to which we were told that they play music here only in Georgian. Which was very strange to hear, given that in English we personally only heard a man singing. when I asked to include the song, they did not warn me about any language restrictions.
we paid and left in a bad mood
I’m not talking about the fraternal people now. we didn't ask for any special favors. but they insulted me very much. It’s especially important that we specifically chose the establishments with Georgian visitors, and not Russian-speaking ones. Invented rules for us. showing that it’s all the same Russian music or Ukrainian, and it doesn’t matter who is in front of them, Russians or Ukrainians. This attitude is shocking
I would be grateful to receive a response from the administration. And for now I can’t recommend an establishment where Ukrainians are treated equally negatively as Russians
24.02.2024 My answer. Thank you for answering. But you didn't get the point. Both the situation as a whole and both reviews as well. I did not sing at this event or perceived as a karaoke bar, but only put on a song. WITH THE STAFF'S PERMISSION. Just before this, a male guest sang a song in ENGLISH. All I did was select the song on my laptop. I of course realize that not knowing both languages well can be a mistake and I am always sympathetic to this. But the title of the song indicated that it was in Ukrainian. But when the song was turned off and we explained that it was in no way in Russian, the staff did not react in any way. As only that we will not turn it on. The second review you're talking about is not mine. It's my friend's, who also wanted to enjoy your place that night. Please be more attentive and respectful. First your staff reacts negatively to Ukrainian music without understanding. Now you are asking me to delete another person's review without even paying attention, also without understanding. In summary, I want to draw your attention once again to the heart of the problem. The point is that I chose 1 song with the permission of the staff. I and my friends were spoiled by turning it off, adding that it is Russian, did not change behavior after clarification, spoiled the...
Read moreStarting with the positives, the place was nice, with spacious tables and shelves of Georgian wine on display and the food we did get to eat was tasty and the wine was good.
Unfortunately it was all let down by the service, the restaurant was mostly empty when arrived and did not get full for the entire time we were there. One of our starters arrived promptly, but the second arrived after one of the main courses had been served.
My partners main course (and our other starter) that arrived after about an hour were great - a generous portion of chicken in a plum sauce, but with no sign of mine they ate theirs, then the plates and glasses were cleared. After 15 minutes waiting we gave up on mine and asked for the bill about 90 minutes after we had placed our order. Apparently they were ‘too busy’ with reserved tables despite a half empty restaurant to manage cook and serve two main courses to come within 20 minutes of each other.
Go for the wine and order a snack, just don’t go hungry or expect...
Read moreThe worst cheese board I’ve ever had in my life for 50 Lari. Oily Eggplant & Wallnut rolls. Unfriendly staff (upon arrival we were told that they might not have space despite the restaurant being completely empty from the time we arrived until we left). No menu for the wines so we asked for a recommendation. She seemed confused and then just listed grapes and asked us to choose a grape. Then brought us two glasses of very average wine. Maybe we should have been more assertive but we figured that asking for recommendations would be a good idea since we are in a wine bar with so many options. The music was also very strange. Random song collection. The whole experience wasn’t cheap and left us feeling pretty sick from all the cheap cheddar or whatever it was we were served. Will definitely...
