Honestly... 1) “Fatteh” is just a plain yogurt from can mixed with chickpeas, it had no flavor at all, no salt, no black pepper, no garlic flavor, no cumin flavor. May be they forgot to add spices, I don’t know. Dish tasted just like plain yogurt from package. In menu says that dish has nuts, but I didn’t find any. I didn’t enjoy dish at all. 2) “Falafel” had no flavor either, plain deep fried chickpea-balls, no falafel spices were added, it had no flavor, even no salt. Marinated veggies on a plate were too acidic , I couldn’t eat it. 3) Place looks like they just opened and interior is not finished. It is very small, looks empty and not cozy at all. No decorations, extremely simple furniture, no plants.
I don’t understand all these good reviews, can only assume that friends of the owner supported him by giving 5-star reviews here.
I think for these small dishes and mediocre food this place is overpriced. Fateh 15 lari. Falafel 20 lari. I left hungry. For these 35 lari I could eat much more food at some other restaurant...
Read moreExcellent, small, authentic place for vegetarian Lebanese food. Menu is not big, but selections are all great. Falafel is cooked, well, right in front of you. So is hummus, mixed from beans in a bowl right there. Coffee is authentic. WC is clean and functional. Music in background is tasteful. Maybe 3 tables outside, 3 tables inside, very small. Service (Joe) is fast, efficient, English or Arabic.
Prices are cheap, 10GEL for sandwich, 5GEL for coffee, 15GEL for 300g hummus (excellently spiced). Obviously care is taken with raw ingredients, sauces, tahini, chick peas etc.
Location is tricky, on a main street, ~300m south of Liberty Square, but easy to miss, sign is small and poorly placed. Use Google, it will find it.
Don't miss trying this place for authentic, tasty,...
Read moreBest falafel in Georgia! Made fresh from whole beans with love too tasty to be healthy but it is. Lovely owner who makes everything from scratch and even fresh squeezed natural juices at great price with amazing taste! I always look forward to eating here when I’m back in Tbilisi. Great vibes and highly reccomend if you like fresh delicious food made from a real Lebanese chef! Also I wanted to add that I saw the sweet owner give a homeless guy a free falafel wrap as soon as he opened his shop. What an Angel!! How can you not want to support a business with such...
