They recommended that we try the Mr. Breggs (their classic take on a egg sandwich: 🍳 and 🧀 with housemade sauce, mayo based with something sweet, really good btw!) and then they suggested trying the pulled chicken and roast beef next time.

After checking out their classic, the flavors were spot on. The portion is huge and we’ll worth the price point.

The restaurant has some seating, they could easily fit several groups on people inside. Very clean and great layout. They have signs showing you where to order and pick-up, you also get order numbers which helps streamline the orders and helps us people figure out who’s next instead just yelling but of course not everyone pays attention to the tv monitors. Eventually people look up from their phones and see their order sitting right at the counter. We will definitely be back to try out their other recommendations.

One Feedback I have: if possible to have English Menu Board, just since the restaurant is located in Mitte it helps us newcomers read and understand the menu. If it wasn’t for the really nice lady over the counter and having her talk to us, we wouldn’t have been able to understand the menu.

Aside from that everything else was positive:

✅ Restaurant has a really nice layout and interior decor, clean, minimalist and modern.

✅ Menu is good size, not too much items and it’s clear to the point. All the Menü items make sense and they know their brand identity.

✅ Sandwich are delicious, eggs could be a little More flavorful, it felt like it was missing more salt or more butter, let’s see how well the other ones taste for the next time.

✅You can see your order being made. Open style kitchen, that’s pretty amazing seeing their kitchen like that.

✅ Great ordering system, I really enjoyed the order screen and it really helps with the flow of the orders and signs inside showing pick-up and where to order was perfect!

✅Very unique ordering style compared to other places in Berlin. They are prepared for busy rushes, and that great foresight from the owners.

⭐⭐☆☆☆ Breggs – Overhyped and Not Worth the Price

I visited Breggs after watching a YouTube video that listed it among the best breakfast spots in Berlin, but honestly, I was disappointed with the overall experience.

First, the prices listed on Google are not updated — the restaurant charges more than what’s shown online. There was also a long waiting line, and the system is self-service, which means you wait quite a while before getting your order.

We ordered the Green Queen sandwich, and it was below average — the portion size was very small and didn’t justify the high price. I was still hungry afterward. Their Mango Dream drink was just okay, nothing special. We also tried the White Chip Macadamia Nut Cookie, but honestly, Subway cookies taste much better.

The staff were polite and mostly Indian, but the management really needs to work on meal quantity and value for money. The place is small, crowded, and not ideal if you’re looking for a relaxed breakfast spot.

In my opinion, Breggs is not student-friendly or budget-friendly — it seems more like a café for people who want a fancy Instagram-style breakfast rather than real, satisfying food.

Dishes (- negative / = ok / + positive): fancy tots: pretty nice crisp and good truffle flavor, 4 stars; however, very tiny portion for €6.9, why do they save on the amount of tots? There was plenty of sauce, so you might as well add a couple of more tots = daddy’s burger: ok meat and nice brioche bread, the egg which is basically their signature just lacks good seasoning, although the sauce makes up for some of it, it would be nice if the egg was well-seasoned per se

Service: very friendly at the counter service

Price: high price for value, both dishes without a drink for €17.80
